  • Really good night vision for the price
Style Name: XANB20
I bought these for my husband for Christmas. The biggest drawback is that it uses 8 AA batteries. However, the clarity of the pictures are really good. My husband can zoom in and see things pretty far away when it is pitch black outside. He is not a high tech person, so he likes that it does not have fancy additions like menus and cameras/videos. His motto is "keep it simple". Very good product for the price. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Decent unit for what I payed for it
Style Name: XANB20
Paid $116. Bucks for this unit. It is a great way to experience seeing things at night , for a cheap price. Unit uses infrared light(works like invisible flashlight) that is built in to unit as “illuminator”. The light source is invisible to our eyes, but unit sees it and displays the view through viewer or eyepiece. If your expecting military grade night vision, your not going to find it for $116. Period. You can see at night with this using the illuminator only. Without it being turned on, you will not see anything at night. It isn’t true “night vision”. Yes, using illuminator you can use this unit to see at night. To simplify things, it’s somewhat a pair of binoculars with a built in light source. Mine works pretty well, focuses pretty well, overall I’m happy with it, I can use it and not worry about breaking a $3500. Dollar true night vision viewer. I can see in total darkness( using illuminator) and it’s fun and easy to use. Play with all the settings, backlight and infrared settings and get your best view, overall it’s really decent and a good value for the dollar. Main problem is like all other complaints, it uses batteries like crazy. I went through a new set of alkaline batteries, using full backlight and full IR setting in 10 minutes. It may be worth investing in the model that has lithium built in power pack. I’m going to play with mine a little more and look into keeping a set of rechargeable batteries on standby when prepared to use. I just bought to play with camping and for the price vs what I got, I’m fairly satisfied. This is a long review but I saw where so many people were disappointed, and just hoped to help someone out with what your getting. Thanks ... show more

  • Great entry level NV
Style Name: XANB20
First, let me say I've experienced some of the best NV on the market. This is not that. However, this is better quality at this price point than competitors. If you need something to see in the dark and don't want to shell out a grand to do that. This is a great option. I'm unimpressed with the daytime magnification. But, I didn't need that anyway. I'm using this for night time security sweeps of my estate. They work amazing for that. ... show more

  • Bad to the bone
Style Name: XANB50
Some what small cheap looking, cheap feeling they fit on the head nicely, also there are two IR lights in the front that glow bright red when you use the night vision part and they glow brighter every level you go up so if you use them in the dark people will see two bright glowing red monster looking eyes from a mile away so if you didn't want to be seen for what ever reason you will be, also the default view when you turn them on is stuck in a zoomed mode that you cant zoom out of you can zoom in more but its on a default zoom so you cant just walk around with them on, the picture quality is all right not great, the range is not great could barely see my neighbors back yard at night standing on my porch from around 20 feet away, and lastly no micro sd card witch is obvious so you have to have your own and they didn't include a charging block so you cant plug it in to the wall. So don't wast your money on these there not worth the money, there more like a over priced kids toy, i had to return them in the end. ... show more

Very big, eats batteries, but gives good image. Use external battery and be aware your vision loss after viewing through, your eyes need to re-adjust. Don't leave batteries in it for storage, corrosion sets in fast!

  • It's an ok product
Style Name: XANB50
Got this for my Dad's birthday and he absolutely loves it. My only complaint is that it doesn't zoom out to x1.00. It's only got 3x, 4.5x, and 6x which can be a bit disorienting if you're trying to walk with them on, but if it works it works. Also, I was testing it out doing nighttime chores and a plane was passing over head. I turned to look at it and the goggles bricked. Idk wtf happened there, but that says more about the plane than the goggles. Thankfully there's a reset button for that in the front. It didn't come with a tool to press the button oddly enough, but I found a thin wire that did the trick. Overall, an ok 300$ product. Will probably buy again for a friend's birthday. I really wish the lowest setting was 1x instead of 3x, but hey, you can't win them all and this was the only thing in my price range. ... show more
