We decided to replace our main kitchen light with this beautiful chandelier and I’m very happy with it. I think it’s probably better suited to a smaller space than a full kitchen, but it still works well in our space. Assembly instructions were pretty clear, and I was able to assemble it myself in about 20 minutes prior to our electrician coming over to install it. I do think based on how some of the pieces were packaged that it’s possible the specific one we received had been opened previously (hence why I’m deducting 1 star) but it still works perfectly fine which is the most important thing. ... show more

We have a large house and have been replacing all of the old lighting. Due to the amount of fixtures, we need to find lights that are affordable yet match the mansion decor. It doesn't look like real gold but the gold-tone is not too bad. It's hard to find gold chandeliers at this price point. Most chandeliers here need to be assembled. The instructions are useless but if you look and refer back to the photos, it's not too bad especially for a light of this size. The problem comes when you actually have to install into the ceiling. I'm not an electrician but run a general contracting company - hence have installed dozens and dozens of chandeliers and lighting. The hardware and method of mounting was quite the challenge for me and I almost gave up at one point. Things have a tight fit and if you are doing it alone, hard to hold the light up while screwing the brackets or attaching the wiring. They should have included hooks to assist in holding it up as well as a better way of final closing of the cover/gap. Unfortunately, I have to get a 2nd one to match this one and do not look forward at all in completing the room in the hallway. In the end after I finish, I am happy with the look and value I got.     • Impressive Dainty Sized Chandelier

I Love Wrought Iron, and chose this chandelier in black for exactly that reason. It is a pretty little thing and quite smaller in size than most. The petite size makes it perfect for placement in bedrooms, bathrooms, and out of the norm places to hang a chandelier. I love the unexpected aspect of it. This does require a great deal of piecing together, and it goes faster with 2 people, but one can build it alone as well. You will need pliers, and know-how, as the instructions are not really very clear. You get the "hang" of it though just using common sense. The glass on these is real and the prisms are too, so that is really nice, as one would expect plastic at this price-point. It looks really lovely with the draping crystals and prisms. I have it built, but am undecided on where to mount it. I had originally thought it was going to be a cheap looking fixture and intended it to hang it from the tree by my patio. (an eclectic touch I've wanted forever!) But, much to my delight, it was much nicer than I had anticipated, so it will find a place indoors, probably over my bathtub!, gracing me with it's crystal elegance! ... show more

I got this light in the gold finish and it looks like it was painted with a rattle paint can. Not what I was expecting. On top of that you have to put the light together. No thank you get something else if you want something more elegant.

This requires a significant amount of assembly. I needed my husband's help with two of the screws, which were stuck. He had to use pliers on one of them. Even though it's a small chandelier, it's still pretty heavy, so he's going to have to hang it for me eventually as well. I decided after it was assembled that I didn't like it for my dining room. Although I like the gold color and the finish is pretty good, it looks kind of cheap to me. I don't like that the scroll-shaped bars that make up the sides are all the same thickness of metal. It would be nice if the pieces were more sculpted. The glass pieces are well made and look pretty, but I think they are too uniform in terms of size, and possibly too big overall. The ones that hang from the top are the same size as the ones on the bottom, so that looks a little unbalanced to me. These are just minor quibbles, really, because considering the price, this is a nice fixture. The main problem I have is that this chandelier just doesn't go with my dining room's decor as well as I thought it would in terms of color, style, and size. I plan to find another place to hang it. It says this is made with crystal and glass. I can't tell but I do like the design. The gold parts seem like a plastic composite but the design looks well done. Our old light had 5 lights and this only uses four lights but this one brightens the room more. I think that's because these bulbs are more exposed. The instructions were okay but sometimes you just need to figure it out. After we put up the light, we saw the hole for the can in the ceiling is either slightly off center or just a different size than the ceiling cap (see picture 3). Overall, like the light and think it elevates the room design. Update 5/18: After having this light up for a while I've decided to deduct one star. The paint job just doesn't look quite right. The light comes off looking a little plastic(y). I think I'll put my old one back up. ... show more

Directions are good. It took almost an hour to put together. It’s a little intimidating working with such a cute little light. I hung this light in my bedroom. I feel like a guest at a fancy hotel now, lol The quality seems good. The crystal sparkles so it must be cut right. The only con I can see is the small size. If you need a big one for a large formal dining room this probably won’t fit into scale of the room. But I personally think it’s perfect for a bedroom or a hallway. ... show more
