  • Don't buy not worth it!!
It's fun for the first few redes while the fins are still on!! But they end up falling off in a few hours it will be 2 of these I have bought with the same issue. Don't buy not worth it!!

  • Takes tubing to a new level! Needs better fin attachment for 5 stars
We all laughed so hard!!! It's especially fun when the tuber doesn't know the "trix". My teenage son loved it and was working for the ride. Controlling it takes a lot more body motion and learning the technique involves lots of "hahaha!!! whoops, that didn't work". The description implies the fins are easily removed or installed. Not at all. Once installed I doubt anyone will want to repeat the process and you may have a hard time even getting them off again. That's a bummer because the ride without fins is probably pretty amusement park like. Perhaps it is too easy to spin? We installed them before the first ride so we will never know. Here's the problem with the fins: the rubbery plastic mount is too soft to prevent the little nylon insert lock nuts from spinning unless they are fully seated. Normally not a big deal but it is if the holes in the fins don't align with the mounting holes. I tried several "tricks" to get them to align and finally had to remove material from the front edge of the fin base so the fin could slide far enough in to the slot for the holes to mostly align. Then I had to drill the holes to make them straight. Finally, I used a wrench on the nuts to hold them still while getting the screws(bolts) started. Once started, the nuts could be pushed in to the recess and tightened down. Ours may have been a bad example of quality control. It's not a process I would want to do on the boat just because someone wanted to try it without fins. I wish they had something like the super simple inflatable SUP fin with a click-lock lever. Still- even with the fins "permanently" attached-- this thing is WAY more fun than a regular tube. It is steerable, the spins add a fun trick element to the ride. Overall build quality seems to be on par with the "big name" tubes we have from 2 other manufacturers. ... show more
