  • Thick fabric, well made
Style: Big Mable Size: 1-2 Rider
This thing is a beast. It is very well made with good seams and stitching. It inflates quickly given its size. It is very heavy and cumbersome to move around on dry land, but in the water it works great. It glides across the water and can be used forward facing or rear facing. I would recommend getting a buoy ball to keep the line out of the water. It is easy to clean and stores deflated in a small area on the boat. This is worth every penny. It is great for smaller kids that feel safer with a full back and higher sides. ... show more

  • We love it!
Style: Super Mable Size: 1-3 Rider
This was our third towable for the summer and this one we loved. We purchased two other brands that weren't quite as large and not as cushioned. One of the others had a leak straight out of the packaging. It was smooth enough that we were able to put our four year old grandson on it with his Dad and he barely bounced. If you are looking for a super bouncy ride and a tipable towable this is not the one for you. It's steady and smooth compared to others. ... show more

  • Perfect for smaller kids
Style: Super Mable Size: 1-3 Rider
I bought this for our five kids to use and even the youngest (5) has no trouble holding on while being pulled. Just make sure all the inflation ports are pushed all the way in when you get going or they will pop open and the tube will deflate. We only used it a few times this season so hoping it holds up as the years go on. ... show more

  • Tips to Survive on the Big Mable
Style: Big Mable Size: 1-2 Rider
I purchased this tube to replace a lay-down style tube that warped (bloated) in the middle. There was only 1 review when I bought this, but I took a chance and it was worth the risk and the price - so far :). Here is what I've learned/picked-up from using Mable. Survival Tip 1: This thing can get some major air (5ft!) when the water is very choppy from boat/pwc traffic (on the 4th of July weekend for example). This is really cool, until the rider comes down. So, a word of advice - from experience - if you get major air ***LET GO***! Yes, this may seem to go against your initial instincts to hold on for dear life. But, here is something to consider - you will have two outcomes if you hold on: A) you will get ejected after the impact OR B) you will get a good amount of whiplash. Our riders had some not-so-fun-and-painful landings/ejections when they held on, but were fine if they let go mid-air. If you are not going to provide a flat ride, and are looking to catch a good amount of air, your may want to inform your rider(s) of this. Survival Tip 2: Mable isn't a one-trick towable. Mable can fly and tip and flip! While Mable may seem bottom-heavy (and thus non-flippable), if you whip the tube out wide enough and fast enough (i.g. boat speed around 20MPH) you can lose your rider(s). I don't think we had any injuries from tipping or flipping, besides riders having the occasional collision while on the tube. Survival Tip 3: With adult riders and with Mable in the 'chariot' (kneeling) position, our boat wasn't strong enough to get Mable started unless the riders leaned back. So, tip 3 is to LEAN BACK when in the chariot position to get started. Afterwards, the rider can get comfortable without trouble. As a side note, when we had one rider and had speeds between 10MPH and 15MPH, Mable nosedived in the 'lounge' position. She would also sometimes drag or tip over without a rider, usually when the boat slowed down from lower speeds that were between 10MPH and 15MPH. General Tidbits: -Switching the position of Mable is really easy. -She also stays inflated very well - we didn't have to re-inflate after the initial inflation. -The handles and padded areas can rub on the rider(s) skin. If you want maximum protection for your skin, wear long pants when kneeling. Longer bottoms may also be a good idea for sitting too since regular swimsuits may ride-up. Gloves may be a good idea for extended rides, or you'll risk blisters. --- Overall, the Big Mable is an awesome tube. It handles all sorts of riders, it has held up well (over three months with at least 2 weeks of heavy use/abuse), and it is very very fun. It is easy to switch positions. --- Notes: Used only on fresh-water lake. ... show more

  • Good quality but very large
Style: Super Mable Size: 1-3 Rider
I purchased this so I could pull my Grandkids and their parents around the lake. This Tube is massive in size. I kind of wish I had gotten the next size down but it is what it is. This thing is heavy and hard to handle on the boat. My boat is pretty large for a freshwater lake bowrider at 26 1/2' and it does have a sizable swim platform but when we are running and I have this tube up out of the water on the swim platform there is room for nothing else. Also note that when in the water behind your boat it is heavy and takes a good amount of power to pull, especially in turns. My boat has a big block V8 and I'm glad, this tube is a beast. It is a good tube and my family loves it. The Mabel series are known for being safe with the sides and back and I would agree with that. If you are considering this tube just be aware that it is really big when inflated and it is pretty heavy and hard to deflate and get folded up while on the water. ... show more

  • Great construction- very durable
Style: Super Mable Size: 1-3 Rider
When the say we’ve tested the durability, that’s an understatement. The teenage kids love it so it gets a lot of use. It can easily fit 3 teenage boys, but we tend to only allow 2 at a time for safety of not knocking heads when they go over waves. One really important feature is the strength of the handles that the rider holds onto. They are extremely strong. Finally, one thing to note is that due to the size we’ve learned to inflate it out where we do the tubing rather than in advance on the dock. That’s just preference. ... show more

  • Cant leave product out in the sun for more that 10 minutes???
Style: Super Mable Size: 1-3 Rider
I purchased this product in May of 2021. I know that sounds like a long time ago but the first year we had it the bladder deformed and we could not sit on it. This was, in fact replaced as would be expected. The following year, 2022, when we took it out of storage, all of the grip handles showed significant signs of deterioration. Then when taking it out of storage in 2023, it was clear that the deterioration should not be occurring at the rate it had been (see picture). I contacted Airhead and this is the response. "Usually for leaving it for like even 10 minutes in the sun could be the issue of this, you ha to take it out once you don’t want to use it or don’t leave it in the water for to long when its not used, those are our principal recommendations". The syntax and spelling leads me to believe this is not a response from a US citizen. Airhead did offer a small discount on a future purchase. In any case, I could not believe a response that a product meant to be used outdoors for long periods of time should not be out more than 10 minutes. At any rate it has continued to get worse. Now this year, the back will not inflate properly. I have given up! All in all, this has been a terrible product. I do not recommend it. ... show more
