This cutter will cut your plank flooring with ease! Will not cut planks lengthwise. A table saw was quickest tool for that. Assembly was easy and fast. Once I started laying flooring fast, I needed this cutter for every row. It's fast, accurate, somewhat quiet compared to a saw and much much cleaner than any other tool I used to cut my planking. Reasonably priced and couldn't find anything comparable in the big box stores. Was worth the return on investment. Blade is very sharp and didn't wear out on the job of laying 400 square feet of LVT.     • Made mince meat of my work!
The only ding i had was i did not receive any instructions for putting this together. Luckily, i was able to figure it out from the picture. I see the user manuel available on here, but for the price i think i should have recieved that or at least put together instructions. I used this today to cut 1/4 inch thick barn boards for shiplap. These boards were easy to crack using an electric saw. However, this mighty chopper cut them fast and no cracks or frays. It was also much faster!! Next i will be using it to cut vinyle planks for the floors. I love the safty chain as i have nosy cats that have already sit on it.     • Necessary For ANY Floating Floor Job
This thing rocks! We are in the middle of installing over 1,600 square feet of 8mm laminate in our home, and for the first room I was using just a circular saw and clamps outside, which worked well, however it was time consuming and very messy. This product cuts the time in half needed for straight cuts, produces no mess at all, and makes a straight cut any time. The tool is built very well and packaged nicely, it is very easy to assemble with basic tools, and it even comes with a sharpener to keep the cuts super clean. Purchased this to install vinyl flooring in our upstairs. Makes cutting the flooring quick, simple, and accurate. The cutter is well made, feels solid, made of aluminum (blade is steel). Worth the purchase price for the time it saves. This cutter is only intended for cutting the flooring to length. For other cuts, I've used a utility knife for ripping narrow strips, and an oscillating saw for complex angle cuts and notches. ... show more

    • Much more heavy duty than expected!
This tool makes installing laminate flooring much easier, quicker, very little noise, and produces no dust. You will still have to do the length wise cuts with a saw, but this will replace about half of the cuts you will do. I wish I knew about this tool for all the other times I have done flooring.

    • How well it worked
The laminate cutter worked as advertised. We cut quite a few boxes of laminate when we replaced our travel trailer carpet with laminate. My wife had a little more trouble putting enough force on the handle than I did. It was a life saver since I couldn’t take my chop saw to the RV park.

    • Helps installing floor planks
This cutter makes adequate quality cuts quickly and easily. One point (I had many 45-degree cuts) is that moving the provided rail from 90-degree t0 45-degree frequently was a bit cumbersome but I'm glad I purchased the cutter for my project. Plan to use it again soon on the next floor.
