We've tried at least six drinking fountains, and this one is the best. The cat seems to prefer it, and the functionality is likely why. The filters are free of plastic housing (which some other fountain filters have on each item). The filter is easy to clean and access. The light is excellent for animals and humans to illuminate the area. Would you like to drink in the dark? The raised position seems to be better for cats' posture. My older cat gave no fuss and drank from it worry free. My younger cat also drinked from it but not before putting her foot on it. It does filtrate stuff like hair which was my biggest issue before. It’s cheap and works as advertised, and very quiet , I didn’t hear it at all

    • BE CAREFUL WITH THE CLEANING-MOLD
Ok, so cats love this. However, be mindful of these things. There are small parts inside that mold up very easily. You need to take the motor apart on a regular basis, like 3-4 times a week. If not they will be drinking mold. Also , do not use Keurig filters. They do not filter the water correctly and will be moldy in a day or two You do not want that to happen cause they cats will get very sick. If you do not have the time to dedicate to properly cleaning this, do not buy. Other than that it is a great product and the babies love it ... show more

This was a great purchase- It lights up a pretty blue color and is extremely quiet. The only time it makes a noise is when the water level is low. It is easy to clean and easy to get the filters that are needed for it. I had gotten one two years ago, but dropped it while cleaning and it broke. So I just had to buy a new one, but it is worth every penny! ... show more

I purchased this to have a running source of water for my 4 year old orange tabby. He loves it and I love the large capacity. It was easy to put together and we have to fill it about every 4-5 days. It is not noisy at all unless you let the water level get too low!

pros: quiet, functions well, easy to clean, and holds a lot of water. I like the visible water level. cons: my cats would sometimes avoid drinking from it despite being accustomed to a fountain already … not sure why, but they would try to drink from the toilet/sink/bathtub instead. I have had this fountain only 6 months and it just started leaking all over the floor so i can’t use it anymore. ... show more
