So far so good. Pretty easy to program. Getting used to the military time. I did not like the sound quality of the recording; it was unclear where the microphone was to speak into so the recording is quieter than I expected and just sound creepy like there was a ghost in our kitchen. Even the kitties were nervous by that. So I just recorded silence since I couldn't figure out how to delete it. Only other thing I wish would be for the bowls to be further apart from each other, and that it was easier to drop a portion without having to unlock the settings. Holding down the settings button to unlock it makes it think it needs to be programmed so it seems like it stopped the clock. I could be wrong but whenever I need to adjust something or add another portion, the time seems to be not accurate anymore. I also hate the seemingly cheap aluminum bowls, their finish either started rubbing off or is getting grease stains really quickly from the kibble. I've only had this for a week so far. I replaced them with white porcelain bowls, which is healthier and my cats seem to see the kibble better on these instead. Also, my cat has prescription kibble and they are the shape of a 3D triangle, not flat. They fit in this machine but sometimes not a full portion comes out, they get stuck occasionally but luckily some will still come out each time. I’m not super impressed with the performance of this automatic feeder because it gets jammed for no known reason. The assembly took awhile, but once you figure it out it goes by pretty quickly. I do enjoy that there is a large range of portion sizes and up to 6 different feeding times, but again, the food gets jammed in the bottom of the feeder. The capacity for food holds up to about 4 days worth for my cats (depends on how often you feed). ... show more

    • Quit working keeps resetting the timers
This product is a total fail for me, and I’ve passed my return window. You set the time, set the schedule and portion for meals, it works for a few days and resets itself, sometimes it loses time all together and the schedule for meals, sometimes it just loses the schedule for meals, you can’t trust it to provide food if you leave the house. I even put in the batteries in case of lost power, but I’ve reprogrammed it multiple times and I can be sitting there and hear it beep and watch it reset itself and cancel all the meals even when it’s plugged in. the feeder was really easy to set up. the portion sizes are great too and the food seems to always dispense evenly to both bowls. the food is sealed safely and is not accessible to pets. however my cats are able to remove the external pieces very easily. if we are not constantly checking that the pieces are in place then its hard to trust that my two cats each get the same amount of food since it ends up dispensing haphazardly on the floor. i wish the pieces were more secure. ... show more
