Didn't take long to get this assembled when it arrived - not that it should take long to put n 4 small machine screws. Probably took longer to get out the hex keys than it did to assemble it. Very solid, and seems accurate. I like having 1/16 increments on one side and 1/32 increments on the other. The holes fit my mechanical pencil perfectly, nice an easy to scribe lines along the ends of a larger work piece. Beats making several marks, lining up a straight-edge with the marks, start to draw a line, curse when the straight-edge slips, go back to step 1. If I need to go further than 12" from the edge, then back to that method. Usually if I am going that far in, it is a rough cut anyway. Bottom line, if you are in need of an inexpensive yet servicable T-square for layout, this will certainly serve your needs. One thing I am considering, even though I see no evidence I will need it, is to put a drop of threadlocker on each of the machine screws. For that added security. ... show more

I haven't had this particular kind of square/layout tool before so I thought I would give it a try. I'm not sure how else you check for square with these but I used a 1x8 to compare from each side. Simple, accurate and affordable. Those "red" guys need to pay attention. Not my go-to tool, but handy occasionally and for the price worth having for those few times.

Great fit and finish! Excellent accuracy, easy to read scale, I really like the edge guide to keep it square to the wood piece! Can't wait till they produce a 6 to 8 inch! What projects I do, having a 6 to 8 inch would allow to accomplish 95% of all my needs. PLEASE give us a 6 to 8 inch with a proportional cross member. ... show more

I love this thing, I wished I would have had it years ago. I make shop drawings on the fly daily and use this with a small Plexiglass tracing board. Works great! One side is marked in 1/32" and the other is marked in 1/16" increments. Very sturdy and looks Great! Will last for years Kevin K

This 12 inch woodworking T-square is a nice addition to my layout tools. The T-square is lite weight, easy to read with white lettering against a black background, has dual scales 16 and 32 increments and the scribing holes every 1/32nd of an inch work add to it's capabilities. I did have one small issue. The alignment pins were 0.3mm to wide and the ruler would not register with the alignment holes in the ruler. A few strokes with a jeweler's file fixed that.
