Bottom half doesn’t shut all the way, there’s a small gap. I do not recommend for a small/ dwarf hamster or gerbil. Cleans easily however the hard ware falls apart from the critter messing with it. Highly recommend! This item was double boxed and packaged with padding, yet both boxes were dented (likely due to very rough shipping) and the wood was slightly damaged. The seller was quick to respond and offered to send a replacement immediately. Instead I offered to glue it, and the seller granted me a partial refund as per my request.     • Assembly is not possible as it comes
They included different sizes of screws. The "small" screws were supposed to be used for the hinges. But they were so small the heads slip through the holes in the hinges. I was hoping to have enough "large" screws leftover but I was 8 short, so the top isn't attached until I go to the hardware store. Also the front panel had 2 of its bolt holes offset incorrectly from the frame by more than a couple of inches so I had to drill new holes. Luckily I had a big just the right size. Lastly, one of the frame boards was splintered on the side. If this was half the price I would think it was about right. For the money somebody from the factory might actually try to put this thing together themselves and see what needs to be improved. The instructions don't even mention the hinge for the staircase.     • It was a good idea, but miceys is kinda dirty
I have this with a single robo hamster at the moment. And while the enclosure itself is a really cute idea. I'm not sure how long bare, unfinished wood will last with the excretions of this rodent constantly being on it. Even with bedding, the wood is inevitably going to get poops and pees on it. The liquid of which will instantly soak into the wood. Over time this is going to become quite a stinky affair that cannot be simply cleaned since the stuff is inside the wood itself now.     • Cheap and Impossible to Assemble
I got this cage for my hamster as he was outgrowing his old metal one, and I wanted him to stop chewing the wire. Well, this cage was beautiful on amazon but when it arrive it was broken, hard to assemble, and clearly very cheaply made. The screw holes did not match where pieces were meant to go together. The home piece was sized incorrectly and barely fits. I had to go with it because my old cage is no longer sufficient, but this is a piece of crap! Not worth the money at all. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. A really spacious and well designed hamster house, only downside is that the instructions could have been a bit more clear and the pieces should have had an up and down side arrow. But still a great product.

I will disclose that the company offered me a full refund after I reached out to them with my concerns, but I think anyone interested in purchasing this product should know it started leaking a week after I received it and due to that reason and my current living situation I’ve concluded this cage was not a good fit ... show more

Assembly was pretty easy though I found the instructions confusing and had to watch the video. Very sturdy and wellmade. Getting the film off the clear plexiglass glass was a small nightmare, but not enough so that I'd not recommend the product. The gerbils seem happy with it.
