Very soft fabric. The inside has the faux lamb wool which makes it so warm. This is not a thick coat, just be aware. Its the outer fabric and the lining. But the Lining makes it feel much warmer. I really love this coat! It's very warm, I love the pockets, it's a great coat! The only thing I dislike about it is how tight it is from the stomach area and down. I’ve ordered a XXL and I was expecting it to be a lot bigger. But it fit like a Large. I mainly get a bigger size to fit over my jackets but it was super small and barely zipped. I am 5’2 190 most of my weight Is in my legs
