Updating my original 1-star review below to reflect a couple of things. 1. The seller is wonderful. When I contacted them for a return they were quick to respond, apologetic for the issues and offered a large discount in lieu of a return since return shipping would be more than the credit. I opted to keep the item and take the discount. 2. I have worn this all “winter” in Charleston and lent it to several friends when they just had to try it. Not only do I get lots of compliments and “oh! I want one!” It is so incredibly soft and warm! It even kept my poor mother warm at a hospital visit when the ER blankets couldn’t. I stand by my concerns with the overall cut and sewing of the jacket but find that people say it is flattering, fun and comfy anyway. I am tempted to order more as gifts just to make friends and family happy and cozy. ORIGNAL REVIEW: Having read reviews I ordered this coat expecting a soft, oversized item that could be construed as a bath robe or just a cool, fluffy outer layer. The product that arrived is fluffy and oversized but is sewn in such a way that it never quite falls into place as a coat or robe. The back panel is too narrow so that the pockets fall uncomfortably behind the position of normal pockets. The collate sticks up and out in all sorts of directions no matter how it is poked and prodded. The worst part is the bottom seam of the coat. If you look at the pictures, you can see that the hem puckers quite significantly. I so wanted this to work as a cozy-throw-on piece for running to the store or picking up kids. This coat is lovely to look at, great for touching and wonderful to wear. I am disabled and an amputee and my coat is easy to care for and the fit is comfortable. It is well made with roomy pockets. Best of all it keeps me warm on the coldest days.

I’m rating this a 3* because it’s not a bad jacket, but just not what I was expecting. It’s very lightweight, more like a cardigan, than a coat. I was expecting it to be more fitted, or structured, but it looks very frumpy on me, as if I was wearing a robe. The lining is cheap and is not attached very well. It’s almost too big for the rest of the jacket because it’s very baggy, but at least it has a lining. I think if the lining was attached better, and a little better quality of fabric, it would look a lot better. Mine didn’t have any smell when it came, so that’s a plus! It does leave fuzzies all over, but I would think that could be fixed with a tumble in the dryer. I’m returning this because for the price, I’ve seen better quality. I ordered the light beige and it looks like what is shown in the picture. I’m torn between whether or not I dislike this specific jacket because of the quality, or if I just don’t look good in a jacket of this style, but either way, I’m returning it. ... show more

    • Wrinkle at the bottom of coat

I liked the look but it has similar problems as other lined low cost coats. The lining and the fake fur layer are not joined correctly leaving a fold, wrinkle in the fake fur at the bottom in back. I tried tacking up the fur layer at the neck but could not resolve the problem. Will wear it anyway. Cannot return it because my local Kohls requires the customer have a smart phone to scan bar code and I do not have a smart phone. Kohls is terrible at customer service. ... show more

I love this coat so much lol. It’s a LARGE , i’m 5’ approx 165-170 pounds and it fits great. The inside is the silky material and even though it’s not a THICK coat it still kept me warm on texas winter nights when I was outside. It DOES NOT HAVE BUTTONS TO CLOSE so think about that when purchasing. I’ve washed it several times and I air dry it and it still fits perfectly. ... show more
