I had returned a similar shirt to another online vendor, as the fabric was a lightweight cotton and not really denim. This shirt is a lightweight denim and has a nice warn look softening the color. (I ordered pink, size Large and usually wear a size 12 shirt). The length and size is good. The sleeves however, are a little shorter than I’d like. I would have liked to have had a choice, but I usually do wear my shirts 3/4 so this will work well. The only issue I had with the shirt was the pockets. I usually love pockets but these did not lay flat, and so right where you don’t want the bulk, at the hips, there was just too much fabric. I loved the shirt too much to send back, so I ended up removing the pocket and then sewing the seam flat and closed. It was not a simple fix as it was sewn in there pretty well with double stitching here and there, but it was doable, and now my seems are flat and the bulk is gone… i do miss those pockets though! ... show more

I'm 5'4" and over 200 lbs. I purchased the Burnt Ochre in an XL. I think it's important to note that I was pretty sure that if I ordered a 2XL the jacket would be too big in the shoulders and if I ordered an XL it would be snug around my middle. I opted for the XL and I was right. The middle is snug and the shoulders fit well. Also, I wasn't sure about the color. I wanted something that was a little different than the typical jean jacket (blue, black, gray). The color is actually a very flattering and I get a lot of compliments. It goes with more in my closet than I expected and pairs well with light sweaters. I would like it to be a little shorter, but that's typical with my height. ... show more

I ordered the light denim color and it was a terrible color. You know when you see cheap denim and it has that yellowish-gray hue to it? That's what this was. It is thin and in proportion to the shirt itself and the weight of the fabric, I thought the buttons where overly large. I followed the sellers size chart and Amazon's recommendation on size and ordered the L. It should have been very big on me which is what I wanted because I was going to line it with fleece to make more of a jacket out of it. The L was way too small and the arms were really short. I am an average 5'8. I do not have long arms or big anything for that matter and the L was very small. The length was okay, hit me just below my bum. The side pockets sit back really far and I remember reading that complaint in a lot of the reviews I read. I wasn't worried about that, I could have fixed that since I am a seamstress, but I could not adjust the entire shirt so I sent it back. ... show more

Nice item, It's not heavyweight denim, but thicker than a denim shirt. Fits well and looks great buttoned or left open over a shirt. Washed well in cold water and low temp tumble till almost dry then hang. Wrinkling is minimal but touch up with iron if needed

I bought size X-Small, which turned out to be still a tad big on me. But I liked it a lot, so decided to keep it. The fabric was stiff, causing the shoulders to give it a boxy look. But after I washed it the first time in the washer with some added fabric softener in the water, and drying it in the dryer at regular heat setting, the jacket came out softer, looking and fitting so much better too. I'm loving it! A word of caution: this jacket is 100% cotton, so use the dryer at your own risk (the recommendation inside the jacket said " Do Not Tumble Dry"). In my case, the dryer shrunk it a little, which makes it perfect for me, as it started out a tad larger on me. I love wearing it over a t-shirt or tank top with jeans in a slightly cool weather (like what we have currently in coastal southern California). Or over a sweater or turtleneck in the upcoming colder weather. I think this attractive jacket is a good value for the money in terms of look, quality and versability. ... show more
