    • Blown away by this dashcam mirror package.
I am testing the waters with dash cams, and on my 2019 Nissan Frontier I have added this and all I can say is wow what an amazing product. Having a live video rearward from the rear dashcam is incredibly helpful for things beyond an accident, and the way the entire unit works feels so slick and polished I honestly don't know why an OEM hasn't bought this company out and integrated this product into their cars. It is incredibly well thought out, and the 4K camera is absolutely amazing and interacting the the mirror and adding the lane assist and blind spot monitoring to a vehicle that doesn't have it is incredible to me. They gave plenty of cable, particularly for the rear where I had to run it through the length of the cab and under the bed to the rear tailgate. I had purchased longer cable, but turned out what they provided gave me about 4-6" extra length so otherwise it was perfect for my application. If you don't know you can also buy adapters to replace your actual mirror with this unit, and I highly recommend that option. I think it would look goofy and not work as seamlessly if it had to sit in front of my existing mirror, but buying the mirror post adapter as well makes it all look integrated like it came with the truck, and the mirror size was perfect for my frontier it has a nice large screen but leaves about 3/4" between the visors and the mirror, really making it look like it could have come from the factory. My only complaint, and its really not a complaint but just a fact of this product, is that the rear camera really is not all that great at night. Its pretty grainy and the light starbursts a lot so its hard to see what it is behind you. That being said I deliberately did not go for the top end model because I didn't want to be into the system for a ton of money to find out it didn't work well or I didnt like it and this particular model was a really good black Friday deal so it was perfect for what I needed it to do and the budget I was working with. Hindsight being 20/20 now that I know how stellar this really is I would buy the highest level model they offer because the front camera is amazing in virtually all conditions and I believe its the same camera for the rear if you get the top end model. I am going to install another one of these cameras this year on another car and I will follow my own advise and get the top-of-the-line, but i am plenty happy with this one as is and have no plans to replace it anytime soon. A high quality device, easy installation. For continuous use at night or as a permanent rear view camera, the use of the anti-reflective film sold by the same manufacturer is recommended.

    • A Great Rearview Mirror Camera with a few downsides

Since it seems like quite a few of the reviews are all from people who received the camera for free, I figured I’d give my unbiased opinion. First of all, the camera quality is great. It’s sharp, handles bright lights without too much of an issue, and just looks good overall. I do wish the rear camera was a little higher resolution, but for what it is, it’s not bad. I think my biggest complaint is the brightness of the screen. I wish there was the ability to have it much brighter during the day. I have to have the mirror pointed under my rear window or the reflections wash out the screen. One thing to note is that I do not have tinted windows, so that could help. I would happily pay more for a brighter screen, especially if it could adjust brightness automatically. The smart driving features work pretty well, but can be a bit sensitive at times, even when set to low. The install was pretty easy and straightforward and I plan on hardwiring the camera soon. I was able to hide the GPS receiver in the ceiling of my car and it’s works great. Overall, if you are looking for a backup cam with a high quality camera and a lot of features, I definitely recommend this one! ... show more

I like this product, I ended up buying two of the WOLFBOX G850 PRO cams first one for a 2006 Sierra 2500 pick-up truck which worked as expected. Great solution for a vehicle that did not come with a backup cam or backup sensors which made it difficult at times not having have a clear view when backing up into tight parking spots. I tried this one first and liked the safety features and functionality so much that ended up buying a second cam for a 2006 Dodge Gran-Caravan which came with backup sensors but not with a back-cam. it's only been about 3 weeks now that I have installed them and may still be too early to tell for sure how they will perform over time but thus far I have no issues with either one of the cams. ... show more

    • Nice product but missing some definition
Got this product since it seems a bit more refined and specialized than the many many similar products out there that essentially just have a different cover The screen fits well on the rear view camera however for my car it couldn't fit perfectly symmetric so that the camera on the back still had a clear view. Touch screen is very nice and no fingerprints on it after weeks of use. Some voice control but not perfect. Instructions were generally pretty good however the rear view camera seems to come from a standard package. Since the screen replaces the rear view mirror it should always typically be showing the rear. This then meany there was no need to attach a red wire to the rear lights, which is a bit tricky maneuver that might damages the car lights if you are not pretty good with wiring. Talking to the company there was no additional features that capability would bring with the connection, such as proximity sensoring when in reverse so I avoided it. Quality of the picture says 4 K for forward but the definition is not anymore than you can see with the naked eye. Could not read license plates even by zooming at more than 20ft away Rear camera at night gets fogged out by the other car lights behind. The screen asks as a dark mirror as well which sometimes make more sense than a foggy camera. If it rains then it gets even worse. Lastly the ADAS is too sensitive and more of an annoyance. Turned the sensitivity to a minimum then turned it off as it was more of a nuisance. ... show more

    • A must have for all drivers!
Hit and run drivers hit my car on a major street a few times. Finally got this mirror camera and enjoyed how effective it was that I got one each for several members in the family; one of whom was able to catch their own hit and run driver. Recommend hardwire kit for constant recording.
