I thought this would be perfect for pulling weeds, but it only lasted a few days. I crouched down to use it on my knees, I placed one knee on it, I heard a crack, and then my knee dropped down. I had placed one knee in the middle of the foam and not more to one side so it was over the metal bars going from side to side. I'm not skinny, but well below the maximum weight listed. I looked at the design and saw that the foam sandwiches plastic, which supports your weight. This and some small screws. This appears insufficient for the advertised weight limits and I'm going to see if I can get a refund. If not, I may see if I can cut two strips of wood the size of the foam padding. This way a stronger material will be supporting body weight, and it will be supported by the metal bars. I can put the foam over the wood to make it more comfortable. It will be unlikely that I be able to fold this as it arrived, but I don't need to do that. ... show more

    • DON'T BUY! Find a better made product! Broke after about three weeks of usage.

The hard plastic support that holds the cushioning broke. This was placed beside our swimming pool basket strainer in order to bend down and empty the basket and have the handlebars to get back up. It worked well for about three weeks, and then the hard plastic support parts broke, causing my elderly father's knees to collapse downward. It's lucky he didn't get hurt. This was for my 180 pound father and myself at 145 pounds. It's not like we're 250 pound heavy men. It should be made stronger. Such a disappointment and only one week after the 30 day return is over. I want to return it, but it doesn't appear the system is going to allow me to. ... show more

This product is well made and sturdy. I thought it would be just what I needed to kneel down and work. It was useful for getting up after kneeling. However, because the pad puts your body several inches up off the ground, it was not useful for me. I have physical limitations which will not allow me to bend over past my knees without having something to hang onto. ... show more

I very carefully shopped for a garden bench/kneeler. I wanted one with a wider foam pad. This one shows in one of the photos, comparing it to "others" that the kneeling area is 8.1". Mine arrived today. It is 6" wide. I am very upset and will have to go through the returning process. I was so looking forward to recieving it and now am so disappointed. You cannot show one thing and then ship something else. Shame on you! ... show more

This garden kneeler has literally saved our lives. If you are a senior, you need this. If you fall and can’t get up, this kneeler will do the job at getting you on your feet. I just purchased one for my brother, and will order one for my sister for her 80th birthday. We can’t live without it!😃

    • Torn miniscus!
It was a challenge for me to stoop down to a floor or flower bed. I use this to rest my knees while working and use the handles to muscle my way back up. It’s useful to me inside, outside, and while camping. As a plus, you have a seat when you need one.

When you use it as a kneeler, and use the two legs as upright lifts to rise up, the unit tends to be a bit unstable.
