Best Features: 1. Squirrel cage fans on both the cool air and hot air - this ensures the cool air is effectively and efficiently blown out of the unit, and the heat is blown out the exhaust tunnel. 2. Smart fan - continues to run to blow out cool air even after the compressor shuts off. Wow! Very cool. (pun intended) 3. Display - is easy to use and very touch sensitive. There's no english writing on the panel, so reference the owners manual if you're not sure what a symbol is. Weird and not great features: 1. WiFi - Could NOT get the WiFi to work following the instructions in the owners manual. The Smart Life app never saw this unit and would not connect. Very Frustrating!! The "Tuya Smart" app did connect to this unit on the first try and seems to work great. The app logo is a lowercase "t" on an orange background. This is a pretty common app for anyone into home automation. You can pull this unit into Home Assistant, Alexa, etc. using the Tuya integration to create automations with this unit. Very Cool, but weird the instructions were wrong or didn't work! 2. The exhaust port doesn't have any kind of vent cover. When the unit shuts off, any insects or other critters have a way to get into your exhaust hose, and maybe your house. Have seen a couple very small gnats that were able to squeeze thru the system somewhere. Will need to tape all connections to keep critters out, as well as install some kind of custom screen and or vent cover. Measurement: The output temp of this unit (air blowing out) is ~38 degrees F. Input is about 77, so > ~39 degree drop in temp, which is pretty amazing and feels great! Overall: It works great and meets the need of keeping my office cool. (Way better than our Heat Pump!) YEAR 1 update: For anyone with an Alexa, or Google home, the ability to turn on the A/C remotely is a god-send. It's great to start the unit a bit before I go into the room to pre-cool the room. Definitely would recommend the Wi-Fi feature if you can afford the extra $10. Still loving this unit and would recommend it. Oddly starting after the 1st year of using this A/C, the water condensate that's supposed to be recirculated has started draining into a bucket, which has become a bit of a surprise as I got used to not checking it, and it made a bit of a mess by draining water on the floor. Partially my fault for not checking it, but curious why it suddenly stopped evaporating the condensate. I have reached out to customer support to see what gives. Hopefully it's something simple. Air temp coming from the unit initially was ~38F. After one year, the air temp from the unit is still pretty good at 43F. ... show more

Update - July 1, 2023 My Father used self tapping screws to anchor the exhaust hose on both ends and it has made a big difference. Now that it is in place the unit is working much better. The first time I left it running all day at 70 I came home from work and the house felt like a walk in freezer, which is how I like it. As long as the exhaust hose is in place it isn't a bad machine. As for the continuous drainage while heating, I will have to wait until winter to find out if this problem has resolved. (I do have it set up with a bucket but the first time I tried the heating function when it was cooler it didn't work and I had to drain it from the bottom. I still don't like the placing of the drain.) However, I am happier now that it is working but very unhappy it took a bit of creative thinking on the part of my Father to fix it. This product had very good reviews and I have had another portable A/C that gave me no trouble, but this one is nothing but a huge aggravation. The exhaust hose comes loose at the merest movement and, as the photos show, I have tried using heat resistant tape to keep it anchored. I haven't used it very much and it's already overheating on the A/C mode so all I can use it for is a fan. The heating mode isn't any better. It dehumidifies as it heats and the tank fills up very quickly. The drain is at the very bottom of the unit so unless you have it elevated you have no choice but to have towels and a mop nearby to clean up the water. I had very high expectations and am severely disappointed. I can't even return it because it's past time. Big waste. ... show more

We purchased this unit (14,000 BTU cooling + heating + WiFi) during prime week in July of 2023. It worked fantastic last summer, kept our living room super cool (I can’t speak to the performance of the heating function, as we have never used it). This summer (2024), it worked for about 2 months, and then it started blowing nothing but ambient air. I reached out to the company and they asked me to shoot a video of the unit in use to try and troubleshoot. They determined that the refrigerant had been exhausted and it was no longer cooling properly so they issued me a new one free of charge. I really appreciated how responsive they were and that they were willing to troubleshoot with me so as not to have to get a new one, even though it ended up that we needed a replacement. Pros: value for 4 function unit, easy to operate, good performance when working, and *customer service* from Iven gets 5 stars! Cons: refrigerant exhausted rather quickly necessitating the need for a new unit, somewhat noisy especially in a small space, and the exhaust hose that comes with it falls out of the connector to the back of the unit very easily when moved (ended up gluing it to the connector to solve that problem!) I let this unit sit upright for 48 hours before I installed it, as who knows what it goes through during shipping. It's a little quieter than the one that it is replacing and seems to even cool a little better. But, it has the cheapest, flimsiest, exhaust hose I've encountered, which gave me more issues on the install than anything else. You should also be aware that this unit will create a lot of condensation and you'll need a good sized something or other to catch the water that comes from the drip-hose. I went out and found a 10 quart bucket that's about the right size and should only need emptying once a day. I hope. Other than that, seems like it's doing a nice job of cooling the area it's been placed in. Don't know about the heat mode yet, as it's the end of June, but I'll check that out when it's needed. ... show more
