UPDATE 6/15/2024 no. 2 These air conditioners don’t cool at all like they are supposed to!!! I bought 3 of these for my rooms ranging from 300/200/150 square feet. It is 90 degrees outside & it is 90 degrees inside. Pathetic. You have been warned. Buyer beware. Unfamiliar brands, never ever again. I bought the Black and Decker 14000 btu portable A/C (in which I should of just bought from the very very beginning) I highly recommended instead of these. No. 1 rated in portable A/C’s. here on Amazon. UPDATE 6/12/2024 My unit was a defect. Customer service honored the warranty. I received a brand new replacement unit. It works so Thank you “AC humikiller” 5 star’s for the customer service. But These type of portable A/C’s only cool off a room less than 300 square feet if it is turned on before it begins to get hot (without it freezing up or malfunctioning in any way), if not you’ll have to place it right in front you &/or your room can not be in direct sunlight all day & has to be totally insulated. It’s a 10000 btu which should cool up to a 450 square feet area. My area is 9ft by 31ft area (279 square feet) It’s Insulated. The ceiling, walls & windows. No sun light is coming in thru the windows. The sun is hitting the roof all day. So that may be the problem. So I shaded it and still no luck. It’s turned on at 9am. Set to 67 degrees. As the temperature rises outside the temperature inside rises too. This unit can’t keep anything cool between 11am/12pm - 6pm when temperatures outside get above 80-85 degrees F. Only when it starts cooling down outside is when this thing starts working properly. I need to just get an LG 15000btu window type A/C again. I have one in my main living room and it kicks ass. 550 - 800 square feet, set to 68 and it’s 68 all day and night. I just don’t want to cut a hole in my wall. That’s why I tried this portable. It fits perfectly in the only place I could put it. I need to find a portable 14000btu A/C unit that is the same size as this one. Wish me luck! I can only recommend this one for a room that is 150 square feet only with no access for a window type A/C unit. (With NO sun beating down on your roof or windows all day and all doors and windows completely shut while using with absolutely no air leaks & no radiant heat) ORIGINAL REVIEW 4/11/2024: I’ve had this A/C unit since November/December 2023. Barely used during winter. It worked fine on cooler days (temps between 75 degrees and below) But when it’s hot hot hot outside it doesn’t perform at all!!! (Temps above 75 degrees) On the hot days: I turn it on set it to Cool mode set it to 62-67 degrees & it blows out warm air. It shows it’s 90 degrees inside when it’s 85 degrees outside using the App. & my weather App. The water bottle isn’t filling up with the condensation water it should be throwing out like before. When filled up I would need to flush it daily. Filters are clean. It’s leveled, placed well & has the proper ventilation it is supposed to have to work correctly. The exhaust hose connected to the unit doesn’t seem to clip into place well like it is supposed to but it is still connected securely in place and would only slide out a little if the unit is moved. And this unit doesn’t get moved around at all. The hose is shooting the hot exhaust air straight out the window. My space is less than 300 square feet so this isn’t the issue. This is totally unacceptable. I feel ripped off now for buying this. Now that it’s heating up and summer is right around the corner this A/C unit doesn’t work like it’s supposed to or cool anything when called upon anymore. I should of just replaced the top window A/C instead!!!!!! Since the return window is closed I wouldn’t be able to return for a refund now & it should still be under warranty (it has a 24 month or a 12 month warranty, I think) so I’ll try to get a hold of the manufacturer to correct this. If something malfunctioned or this is just a bad unit & the manufacturer helps fix it, repair or replace it then I’ll change my review. If they don’t respond I will never buy anything from this company or any other cheap Chinese appliances like this ever again. I’ll just stick to well known brand names. ... show more

I am really happy with the size, I have seen other units and they are way bulkier, this one is cutter and smaller. The system is relatively quiet when using the cool, dry, and fan mode, but it gets REALLY LOUD when using the heating option. I think I won't be able to use the heat mode, you can even hear it from a different level. Overall I am happy with it, but a little disappointed that I won't be able to use it for heating, still, my biggest concern was cooling the room so I am happy that that setting is not as loud ... show more

This portable AC is exactly what I was looking for. It cool extremely well. The heating isn't great if you're expecting it to super heat your place. There was an issue with my original AC and I contacted their customer service email and they sent me a new one. The process is very easy. So while the original AC I purchased didn't last that long, if all it takes is a couple email to costumer service to get a new one sent out to me at no cost to me, I'm totally fine with that. ... show more

I needed an air conditioner for my top floor, 15x20 foot master bedroom with windows that open side-to-side. This unit cools the room very quickly and keeps the room cool at the temperature I set. The remote is great and works across the room. I have not tried the heating unit nor the dehumidifier. The unit is rather loud on high and during rapid cooling, but it’s no louder than a window unit on high. The sleep mode is decently quit, and the compressor kicking on and off was not a complete distraction and didn’t wake me up during the night. My electric bill only increased ~$1 a day of continued air conditioning use during the summer for the room size I have. I’m so glad I have a 65 degree bedroom on 100+ degree days!! ... show more
