  • Fatal Flaw
This watch (black - sapphire glass - limited edition) checks a lot of boxes: excellent battery life, attractive design, lightweight (essential if you're going to wear to sleep, etc), and exactly the set of smart features you might want, unless you want a star trek wrist communicator that only lasts a couple of days on battery and does a bunch of things you will never use on a watch. The only exception is a missing GPS (you have to keep your phone with you when you run), but I understand the tradeoff to keep weight and size down The fatal flaw is that it is extremely difficult to tell the time!! The photo of the watch face in the listing is utterly misleading. What you get is a highly reflective glass dial and extremely poor visual contrast between the the hands and hour markings and the black background of the dial. To add insult to injury, the hands, hour markings, activity hand, and circle around the screen are all made from the same color metal, so you have to stare at the watch for a couple of seconds before you can resolve where the hour and minute hands are pointing. A minor irritation is that when you first depress the button on the side, it displays the date, but then scrolls to showing the time within a second. It then stays on that screen for a few seconds. But I wanted to look up the date! If I hit the button again, it will cycle through the 5 or 6 different functions before coming back to the date, which if you miss in the split second it displays, will again be replaced by the time. Why couldn't the date be its own click?! Unfortunately, this watch will have to go back. I'm hoping one of the other designs will be easier to read (those red notches on the sports model look promising). ... show more

  • Descent upgrade from Steel HR sport but not for additiobal $150
Descent upgrade from Steel HR sport, nice and classy dress watch which also functions as a hybrid smart watch. However, there is nothing special about the "sapphire signature" LE. The quality of the crystal is mediocre. Yes, you have additional leather strap on top of the flimsy ans extra long silicone strap, and the crystal refects far less glare compared to the mineral glass that is used in HR sport, but it is not worth additional $140. If you can tinker with a watch, or know someone who can mod Seiko watches, get a standard Steel HR Sport watch for $159 and replace the mineral glass with 1.2mm crystal sapphire (like 30 bucks on eBay) and you will still save a ton. ... show more

  • Great look great features
Love the watch and love the look Classy enough for work - tough enough for playing hockey and tracking my heart rate Only complaint is that sometimes they are slow with updates to keep text notifications working

  • Great watch!!
Great watch - setup was extremely easy and quick. I was seeking something that could be worn everyday, however served the purpose of a smartwatch. Love the look and the fact its water proof (vs water resistant) and tracks swimming.

  • Best looking smart watch out there bar none
Everyday use. Good looking watch doesn't look like a smart watch.

  • Cheaper would be just as good and the to long band makes the watch look bad on your wrist.
Should have a smaller bands available
