Purchasing an actual and authentic Withings band is worth the extra money. The bands stay in place well and therefore protect you from losing your Withings hybrid watch and tracker. This blue is a particularly beautiful color, not so dark that it is almost black. The band is easy to change. My husband loves his Withings watch.. one thing he wasn't a huge fan of was the black band it came with. It was perfect for working out but when he wanted to dress up a bit, the black band was lacking for him. I bought this leather band for him for Christmas and he loves it! immediately switched his watch to this band after he opened his gift. He noted that it had a decent leather smell to it as well.     • Great looking, but I fear they may not be very durable
I have had a Withings Activité for a few years now. I love my watch, and I prefer having the leather-bands for day-to-day use (for sports/swimming/beach etc I have a silicone band as well, to keep my leather bands pristine). My original leather band that came with the watch lasted for about a year, before it started breaking (starting with the lose loop, and the rest of the band following shortly after). I bought another original band, with similar result. After that I bought a 3rd party band (still with the magnificent quick-release system - which on the 3rd party band is on the opposite side of the band, much more convenient for right-handed people). The 3rd party band was a little more rough/less sophisticated looking, but not much more durable - I got ~15-16 months out of it (albeit about half price compared to the original). With the 3rd party band nearing end of life, I decided to come back to the original brand bands, as they were just better looking, which was worth the extra cost. I bought the brown and blue leather bands (without stitching). I love these bands that lack the stitching: they are very nice/sleek looking: modern and elegant at the same time! However when they arrived, I noticed the loops are very, very tight. It takes a bit of effort to get the band through, and there is clearly some tension when pulling it through (even when done carefully). Given that the loops have always been the first to break in these bands, I am really worried about the durability. So far I have had them for about a month, and so far so good, but I really doubt they will last a year, which I think would be too short for a genuine-leather band with this price. Note: I did contact Withings through my Amazon-purchase-contact form, and so far (about 4 weeks later) I have yet to hear back - so not a good sign for after-sales support. (although my experience with WIthings after sales support when contacting them directly has been pretty good) Summary: + Great looking + Very nice materials + Quick release system is amazing (although I would prefer it to be on the on the right hand side of the band rather than at the left, as that would be easier to operate for a right-handed person. - Historically these bands don't last much longer than a year (even when not using for sports/outdoor activities) - The loops are very, very tight - leading me to fear for durability even more than my experience. - For after sales support, go direct to Withings (no response through 'my orders' on Amazon so far). ... show more

I have a gold watch that came with the black and gold silicone band and the gold mesh band. I love both of those, so I wanted to find other colors. I didn't read the description carefully, so I was irritated (at myself) when it came, because it has a silver buckle. I didn't send it back because when I looked there are NO other colors that come with a gold buckle. I figured the silver buckle is not really a big deal. Not many people turn your wrist over to look if your buckle matches the watch face. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it is difficult to change out the bands. Taking them off is easy, but getting them on is a bit if a pain. You have to pull back the pin, line up the tiny holes and then release the pin to secure. Other than the company needs to have more of a variety of bands with gold buckles and I need to about 5 minutes to change out the bands, I am really happy with my product. ... show more

The perfect, lightweight replacement band. The original band was uncomfortable to wear all the time and to sleep with--and sleep monitoring was a main motivator in purchasing the watch! I haven't wanted to take off the Withings since putting this band on.
