  • Great Night Vision Googles
Color: Black Style Name: PRO
I wanted another set of night vision goggles (NVGs) to look at wildlife at night so I picked up these from WishBety. The goggles come packed nice and secure to protect it from damage. In the box you get the NVGs, a 32GB micro-SSD memory card, a carrying strap, a USB-C charging cable for the 4000mAH rechargeable battery, a lens cloth and an instruction manual. It also has a screw hole on the bottom in case you want to mount this onto a tripod or headgear. The manual provides clear setup instructions and instructions on what each feature/function on the NVG performs. The NVGs themselves are a bit larger than the other set that I have but I like this because I have big hands. The buttons on top are placed just right for me (you may be different) but, again, I have big hands so my fingers reach the top just fine. You have multiple buttons that perform multiple functions so you'll definitely need to read the directions. Also, and this is subjective, but I do like the design of these as it gives it a bit of a cool and tactical look. I'm a guy, so we're into that stuff. :) The menu itself (see pics) is organized in a clear and concise manner and you use the IR up/down buttons to navigate and OK to select. You'll need to get in here to set the proper day and time and change your default photo/video mode settings. Also, there is actually an on/off switch under the cover next to the SSD port that you'll need to set to "On" before you use the binoculars otherwise they won't turn on with the regular power button up top. You can then keep this in the "On" position and the power button up top will then control the on/off modes. Not only can you just use this like regular binoculars but you can also shoot in photo or video mode. Photo mode allows you to save pictures in 6, 9, 14, 24 or 36 megapixels. 36 megapixels is the default. Video mode you can shoot in 720p, 1080p (default) or 4K. I chose 4K for mine but keep in mind 4K takes up a lot more space on the memory card so you'll won't be able to fit as much on the card. So how do these work? Pretty good, I would say (see my pics). I mean, you CAN use these like regular binoculars but these are really more geared for viewing things in low light or darkness. If you just want to view things during the day if, say, you're a bird watcher then regular binos would be much better than these. The one knock I do have is that the FOV (field of view) is a bit small and is unable to get a wide-angle. So, if I'm looking at one animal, maybe two close together, then this would be fine but if there is a whole bunch of them in one area then this won't work unless you move further back. However, this is common among a LOT of these types of NVGs so it's just something we have to deal with. So, ultimately, these are fine for my needs albeit with one small gripe. They look cool and work good so I'm satisfied. ... show more

  • Good night vision - bigger than expected
Color: black 1 Style Name: Standard 2
I have a few fixed outdoor cameras that have great night vision on them, but this is my first unit to try that is made to be mobile night vision. The first thing I noticed was that it was a bit bigger than I expected, but it didn't carry the weight I thought it would that size either. It was quite light. In trying it out during the night hours, I could see very well - the IR does a great job of lighting up the field of view. And using the manual focus knob on the bottom, I managed to see everything with great detail (not in color, of course). The zoom was a bit different - instead of a gradual zoom we are all accustomed to when slowly zooming in with a video camera or your phone, this basically has 10 levels of zoom. So to go from 1x to 10x you have to press the + button 10 times. There were a few drawbacks, but none that were absolute deal-breakers for me. For one, the field of view seems a bit narrow. Even at 1x zoom the view is quite narrow. The controls seem a bit clunky as well..the buttons are not arranged in a way that makes my fingers rest naturally on them when gripping the binoculars in a normal fashion. And lastly, the clicking sound the buttons make when pressing them is quite loud. It does not seem as if any effort was put into making them click quietly. If I'm trying to watch game at night, the last thing I need is to make extra noises that they may hear and take off. Overall, they do the job fairly well. But there are enough drawbacks for me to drop a star from the rating. ... show more

  • Cool Affordable IR Night Vision
Color: black 1 Style Name: Standard 2
These are alot of fun to use! Pretty easy to use right out of the box. The buttons respond well and seem convenient with their placement. I took these out in the morning before sunrise and looked around the backyard. Pretty cool what I could see! These could actually have some practical uses but if anything they are a really cool toy! ... show more

  • Somewhat large but it does work with its internal active IR flashlight
Color: black 1 Style Name: Standard 2
The media could not be loaded. I live in a very dark area and enjoy gadgets so I thought I'd take a look at this for checking up on what the dog is doing when he disappears into the yard at night. I also own a 'milspec' gen3 nightvision pvs-14 so I was curious how this would compare and knowing that there's a huge difference in price points between the two so I'm not being hyper-critical about it. Knowing this is active IR (so it's projecting an infrared flashlight beam to illuminate the area) I was interested in how it's intended to be used, the size and portability as well as flexibility if you're not wanting to spend a lot of coin but are interested in seeing in the dark. My attached video is a good example of how you can expect it to perform. With my unaided eyes I cannot see the far fence (maybe 125 ft away?) and it is pitch black. The screen shows what Pros: - the IR illuminator definitely works, you can see on my video how the distanct fence corner is pitch black to the eye but looking at the screen it's brightly lit. - inexpensive and 'all in one' device for seeing what's going on without shining a white light flashlight around - additional features like taking photos or short movies - SD memory card is included - integrated battery, charge via USB - decent zoom range Cons: - bigger than I expected, also seems to be a lot of extra space to give viewing distance to the screen maybe? - I wasnt sure what to expect but I thought it would be held up to my eyes like binoculars. maybe it's my older eyes but it doesn't seem to be designed to use like that, I have to hold it about a foot from my face and look "into" it another 3-4" to see the LCD screen. - button placement isnt particularly tactile but once you learn them it's easy enough to operate in the dark. - lens focus is manual via a knob underneath the unit, so no autofocus here Other comments: I think this is intended for maybe wildlife monitoring at night and for that it seems to be fine. It almost feels like a handicam or something similar, but the form factor and size is a little more bulky. I'm not sure why it has to be so big when it's really a battery, lens, screen, IR flashlight and some control buttons. That said, at the time of purchase it was around $100 and records pictures and video in total darkness so it's hard to be too critical here. It does work and if it meets your needs then definitely worth a shot. ... show more
