This is a nice kit, but I should admit up front that the pen is not the best running that I have come across. However, it is certainly good enough for getting started, and for the price it's quite an impressive kit. This kit is built around this black (with red ring) wireless, rotary tattoo pen from Yilong. It's nicely made, and has the unusual feature of a visual display of stroke length (expressed in numbers 1-4) that is a good indicatore of where your tip is (in terms of exposure). The pen is solidly built, and has a good shape (my preference, of course). It's loud, and has significant vibration, and has a working range of 4.0v to 12.0v. I found it to be noisy, and with vibration throughout that range. It also has a stroke length that goes out to 4.0mm, but no indication where it actually begins. The digital liquid crystal display at the top of the batteries is good, and basic, giving all the info you need at a quick glance. No bells and whistles, just the basics. THe batteries are fairly light, and don't seem to offset the balance of the pen much. Keep in mind that the batteries do make the pen considerably longer than those with integral batteries, so that may be a consideration for you. The kit is very good, containing practice inks, ink cpas, green soap, black latex exam gloves, the two batteries, tattoo needle cartridges, all charging cables, synthetic practice skin, and some sheets of tattoo design thermal transfer paper. It all fits very nicely into a nice travel case, with hard sides, a handle, and zipper closure. There's even a large zippered compartment within. It's a great value for a starter kit, and is better than many out there. The price is impressive, and you're getting a lot for the money. This seems like a great tattoo kit to get started with. It's at the right price point too. It comes with everything you need to get started in the world of tattooing. The pen is strong, sturdy and seems like it's very well made. It comes with an assortment of needle cartridges as well. Some rounds and some mags. Just enough to get your feet wet. The ink is very vibrant and flows well. The battery is strong and holds a charge for several hours. It only take a few hours to charge it up for use. The kit comes with ink caps, and more. Overall I'd say this is a decent enough kit for the price and I would have no problem recommending it. ... show more

This tattoo kit has everything needed to start practicing tattoo drawing. The only thing it lacks is more practice "skin". It only comes with one skin so I need to get more to be able to practice as much as I want. The pen itself is super quiet and it is nice that it is not corded but I do worry that it may run out of battery in the middle of a design. Wireless Tattoo Machine Kit - YILONG For it's price at the time of this review( $29.99) this kit is a good deal. The kit accessories are standard fare items, nothing particularly outstanding, but the machine itself seems to me a great starter machine for those curious about the trade, but not interested in a serious monetary investment. The practice skin is one of the thin 1mm thick skins, If you plan on using them you will need to back them up with other material, in order to avoid damage to the machine, your needle, and likely the surface of your work area as well. The machine itself performed well during my tests,. It does have one particularly nice feature , a needle depth gauge, which helps you know the precise distance your needle will travel! This machine has a set stroke at 4mm; Personally I feel an adjustable stroke machine is a better investment ...and this company does have a t least one that I know of you can find it here if interested,: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CTJYH192/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 The price is significantly more, but if you are serious about tattooing you will likely want an adjustable stroke machine, particularly if you plan on doing a good bit of shading on your artworks. The kit only comes with one battery , so I would recommend picking up a spare battery if you plan on ordering this kit. My kit also had two ink bottles that were leaking and had ink smears over nearly all the contents. It was missing the tape, and the green soap had no seal on it and appeared to be missing approx. ¼th of the bottle's contents. Sure these problems are annoying, but not too big a deal to me, but I figure some other's might appreciate knowing this may be a possibility. 3.5 stars. Explaining my rating system: 5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend 4 - above average – a great choice 3 - average – what one might generally expect 2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative 1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible ... show more
