As a collector, I have dozens of these retro gaming systems (both plug-n-play and handheld) so I'm always eager to try out different hardware. I was mostly happy with this console, having only a couple of issues I found annoying. The biggest issue is that some arcade games will not play in their proper aspect ratio. There is no setting which allows you to switch up ratios so that the gameplay is faithfully replicated. Most games did not suffer from this issue, but some did. Just be aware of that possibility should you purchase this system. The other annoyance is that some games are incorrectly named in the listings. This can make finding your favorites difficult if you attempt to search for them by name. Again, most games had the proper title, but a good number of them did not. You may have to scroll for a very long time to find those mislabeled games. Now that I've got the bad news delivered first, let's focus on the positive aspects. The controllers are pretty responsive for a bare bones plug-n-play like this one. There didn't seem to be any latency, which can sometimes be an issue with wireless controllers. The number of games available is very comprehensive. There's a good chance this system has the title you are looking for, and that it will work properly. I didn't run across any bad or corrupted ROMs while sampling the large number of games included here. Also, I had no difficulty setting up this system. It ran smoothly right out of the box. I can't give it five stars due to a couple of the problems I mentioned in my opening paragraphs. However, for a gaming console in this price range, it does perform adequately enough to earn four stars.     • Great Console Ruined by Controller
I grew up remembering when every single game on this console was popular. So this is an extremely affordable trip down memory lane for me just loading up all the games. The fun stops when you actually try to play the games with the dollar store controller that’s included. Mrs Pac-Man? Forget about it. You’ll be stuck kissing walls and missing precise turns steering her with this unresponsive junk. It’s even hard to navigate the menus with it.
