We purchased two of these cameras for our daughters for our trip to Hawaii since we would be snorkling. I was worried my 14 year old would not like them, but she was really happy with them. The picture quality was better than we expected. Not professional quality, but good enough for our liking. They were relatively easier to figure out (My Gen X self struggled a bit more than my Gen Z daughter in setting it up). There are cute frames that can be added to the pictures, and can capture both video or photos. The videos were OK, but not sure if that was user error or not. They will be the perfect camera to bring to sleepaway camp as well, since cell phones aren't allowed. ... show more

We got this for our daughter's birthday because she loves taking pictures and videos. And she is under 10 and still learning to read and firgured out how to work it within minutes before we could even tell her or show her how it worked. Super simple to use. And it's durable in its case. Wouldn'tgo throwing it or hitting it into a wall, but minor bumps and falls are so far fine for it. She doesn't like the case. But it helps keep it safe plus the colorful lanyard it comes with is connected to it (after you connect it) so helps her not lose it while out and about. She almost has 500 pictures /videos taken too. So great memory storage. It also has cute filters and games. It's battery life is really good too. She's had it for a week and we've only had to charge it twice so far. We haven't tested it in water yet. But I'm sure it's water resistant to a point. Like most waterproof/resistant things are. I'd definitely recommend this has a gift even to older kids as well. Oh and it's size is great. Neither of my kids have issues holding it. And the weight isn't bad too. My son loves his camera. We got it for him as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, though, the case is great until it's not. The clasp unfortunately broke which can happen with a five-year-olds curiosity, they open it, take it out, put it back in & repeat. Well, the clasp broke off after a certain amount of opening & closing and has been MIA ever since. Regardless of the broken clasp, this camera can certainly handle being tossed around and dropped by a clumsy five-year-old even without a case. Which is impressive! Only negative issue I've had with the camera is repeating which buttons to use on the camera, but he's five and I don't mind repeating myself. Now if you find yourself as someone who gets easily annoyed with repeating themselves or losing pieces to a case AND not being able to buy a replacement clasp, I'd opt for the cheaper version that it just the camera. Otherwise, I'd definitely buy again in the future for someone else's child. ... show more

We bought a couple of these instead of disposable underwater cameras for snorkeling in the Bahamas to avoid the hassle/cost of having film developed (and I don't generally get good photos with my phone in a pouch). It did great for that purpose! I'm very pleased with the underwater photos. Otherwise however, the photos are just "ok". Be aware that too much or too little light will greatly affect the photo quality. Pics at the sunny beach with all the pretty blue water disappointingly came out very white and washed out. I took a few indoor photos just to try out and they're very dark unless you have plenty of lights on. But I didn't really expect much for the cost, and it served the main purpose I wanted it for. And it IS advertised as a kids camera and is probably good for that purpose, as it has some fun little photo effects and games on it as well (though navigating the menu and buttons might be difficult for young ones). ... show more

This is a great kids camera. It's waterproof and very sturdy, as long as you keep it in the case. It's also not connected to the Internet so you don't have to worry about your kids posting or finding inappropriate content. I wish there was a way to charge it in the case. My kids take them out to charge and then forget to put them back in. I also wish there was a camera like this with no little games on it. There's nothing wrong with the games, its just one more screen in a world full of screens. All in all, I would recommend these. My kids love being able to take their own pictures and experiment with filters and settings and I love that they aren't always asking for my phone. ... show more

My 6yrs old loves this! It’s a great toy for the price. She’s taking pics of everything so much fun for her. And easy for her to use. She figured it out pretty quick. It’s pretty simple but has enough features to keep her having fun. I wish it didn’t have games on it but the games are pretty lame so she doesn’t mess with them too much. She has fun adding frames and mustaches to her pics and loves the timer for snapping selfies. The charge lasts plenty long. We haven’t tested the waterproofness yet. ... show more
