In a moment of insanity I bought this for my grandsone (age five).. now I am glad I did! He gets hours of fun taking videos and photos. It really is waterproof and easy for a child to use. Thi picture quality is not great but children don’t care. It is sturdy, easy to use and provides hours of fun. In summary, this a great toy! This camera was a last-minute gift for our recent trip to Kauai. It's a kids camera, but we adults liked its ease of use. While not high-end photos, they were better than expected (especially when outdoor and water lighting is good). For this price, it was a lot of fun! I give it the full 5 stars because it was highly affordable and easy to use. Also, when we got home I was able to easily edit for to improve quality a bit more. Only drawback is getting used to pausing in-between snapping photos. It seems to be a little sluggish with that. But, once we were used to waiting a couple of seconds in-between shots, it was so worth it..... especially when the large sea turtles swam by! Good purchase! ... show more

Updated 9/6 After leaving the original review the company reached out to me and offered to send out a new camera, it was very much appreciated and my daughter was so excited to have a working camera again. So far so good! Sad this camera already stopped working. My daughter is really disappointed. It was always kept in the case so not sure what the issue is?     • Our kids loves this camera!

We got this for our daughter's birthday because she loves taking pictures and videos. And she is under 10 and still learning to read and firgured out how to work it within minutes before we could even tell her or show her how it worked. Super simple to use. And it's durable in its case. Wouldn'tgo throwing it or hitting it into a wall, but minor bumps and falls are so far fine for it. She doesn't like the case. But it helps keep it safe plus the colorful lanyard it comes with is connected to it (after you connect it) so helps her not lose it while out and about. She almost has 500 pictures /videos taken too. So great memory storage. It also has cute filters and games. It's battery life is really good too. She's had it for a week and we've only had to charge it twice so far. We haven't tested it in water yet. But I'm sure it's water resistant to a point. Like most waterproof/resistant things are. I'd definitely recommend this has a gift even to older kids as well. Oh and it's size is great. Neither of my kids have issues holding it. And the weight isn't bad too. Gave this to my son for a trip to Mexico. During a snorkel trip he took pictures and he was very engaged and taking pictures. We downloaded the pictures and these are a picture I took with my iPhone of the pictures he took and downloaded on his computer. The photos don’t do the actual pictures justice. It’s a great inexpensive underwater camera my 11 year old boy enjoyed and engaged him in a snorkeling activity. He also took pictures on land and these turned out nice as well.
