    • Doesn't do Transmission Recalibration Like an Otofix D1 Lite
I have had this scanner for about 18 months. Overall, it is fine. The zipper on the carry bag broke in the first week or so, but that's not a big deal, just annoying. The main problem is that I have a 2018 Porsche Macan that I changed the transmission fluid on, which requires the transmission to be recalibrated afterward. This doesn't require a trip to the dealer, just a good bi-directional scanner. But, the NT809BT doesn't do this task - it only completes part 1 of the 3-part calibration. I could excuse that, but several other people on the online forums state that their scanner does this: Otofix, Autel, Launch, and hobby version of PIWIS to name a few. So, now I had to buy an Otofix D1 Lite to get this function. At least at $319 on eBay, the Otofix is nearly $100 cheaper than what I paid for this Foxwell eighteen months ago. So, that's disappointing. And, I wonder what else the scanner doesn't do that other similarly or less priced scanners can do. ... show more

I love it very well. Easy to use. On show of demoes they show with hard plastic case. Mind was semi hard. Can you get a hard case. Hard case well protect mind better. Let know if you can get a hard plastic case.

Rarely review but for a device I rarely use and paid this much for, I will. Took it out to use and was at 20%, left it plugged into charger nothing. Tried several charging methods, chargers, nothing. Dead kaput. Waste of money my $20 one still works after 10 years

This is a great tool and they provide updates and includes all manufacturers for vehicles on one scanner for decent cost. It allows many types of resets and readings. This is decent scanner for this price range. I am sure there are better scanners in same price range this is wireless Bluetooth it works very well for me! Shop around ask a friend who is mechanic on which unit and features you want before you buy. This serves my purpose and use well. I like the feel and how easy it is to use but this one didn’t have everything I needed and doesn’t clear codes on Chrysler products. I have used it 5 times already and have let me down about 4 times
