UPDATE REGARDING IPHONE 15 AT THE END... I've been using this battery for 19 months now. It has been great, the USB-C port puts out alot of watts, the USB-A ports even work great. The wireless charge function is icing on the cake for when I forget a cable, although this is an inefficient method of power delivery so I avoid it. I have taken this on so many trips including using it as my sole power bank on multiday backpacking trips. It does what I ask of it, I could get at least two phone charges out of it (iPhone 12 Pro Max) Unfortunately, once I upgraded to an iPhone 15 Pro Max, I noticed I would only get trickle charges when connected through the USB-C or A ports. I have tried many cables, I would even lose battery if I used my phone while connected to it. Wireless charging gives me the fastest rate now, and that is just saddening. It still does amazing with all my other devices and turbo charges my friend's Android phones, but I need to change this out before my next hiking trip. For whatever reason it can no longer establish the handshake at all via USB-C anymore, maybe it was some software push from Apple. UPDATE -- Back to 5 stars, there must have been another change in the handshake software. My iPhone 15 Pro Max is charging as expected, tested and working with multiple USBC to USBC wires which I had attempted in the past. The media could not be loaded. this battery is quite large, and takes a while to charge. It charges your phone fast, and will do so wired or wirelessly. Its of course faster to charge with the usb-c to lightning cable that came with your phone but you can plug that into this too. It has two usb-a 3.0 ports that charge fast but the usb-c charges faster. you can charge this battery pack with usb mini or with usb-c. My only negative on this battery I have found so far is that it doesn't have magnets in it to keep the phone connected. That would be an awesome update! Overall this battery pack has exceeded my expectations and works great to power my camera, ring light, and my phone all together for recording out and about or in the studio. It seems to keep up on the power delivery of all 3 items at once and still charge them while using them unlike other battery packs I have used in the past which get hot and don't keep up.     • Great battery pack, magnetic charge even works with iPhone 8 plus

I panicked when my iPhone 8 Plus’s lightning port stopped charging, then I learned that the 8 plus was the model when Apple started including MagSafe charging in it. I purchased this power bank primarily for the size and the magnetic charging capability. When it arrived it was at 34% power, but it was able to get my phone back up to a relatively good power level using magnetic charging much faster than I typically could with a lightning cable. The capacity of the battery is huge, so it took overnight to charge it to 100% via the USC-C input — I recommend that you use a high output brick (eg, 2.1 A output, not 1.0 A like the older bricks are) to get it charged faster. The battery has to be initially on in order for the magnetic charging to start, you can’t just put the phone on it and expect the battery to auto-detect that it’s there when it’s off. I found that it does NOT do magnetic charging of a phone when you are charging the battery pack— this is a minor inconvenience since I can always use the battery to completely charge my phone and THEN plug in the USB-C cable to charge the battery. The digital display gives an exact charge value, and I found that if I had my phone off and let it charge, my iPhone 8 Plus’s battery would go up about 4% for every 1% change in the battery pack’s charge. That theoretically means 4 complete charges before the pack is drained, though I typically don’t let it get that low to find out. The construction of the battery pack seems solid, and although it warms up slightly if you are doing magnetic charging, it doesn’t get hot to the touch. It IS a bit chunkier than most battery packs, about the size of a iphone plus with the thickness of a deck of cards, but I don’t mind that since you’re getting such a huge battery. The unit comes with a tiny USB-A to USB-C cable, so realistically you’ll need your own longer cable to charge it if the brick is more than a few inches from the battery. All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase. I’ve only had it two days, but right now I recommend it if you are looking for a decent portable magnetic charger for an older iphone or other standard Qi devices. 9/24/23 update: Two weeks in and the battery pack is still going strong. One thing to note: I have a non-MagSafe (but thin) Speck case for my phone and it charges through that. There’s no magnetic click so you have to line things up right (basically just flush the edges of the iPhone with the battery), but it charges well. I’m guessing that it might click with a MagSafe case, but I’m just guessing, I don’t know for sure. So if you don’t have a MagSafe case, you need to make sure that the iPhone doesn’t move around while it’s charging wirelessly. I just lay it right on top of the battery as it lies flat on the table and it works just fine. I’m still very happy with this purchase, and can’t believe the price — I saw wireless batteries with 1/8th the capacity selling for more at Target. ... show more

    • Wireless charging is a bit of a gimmick

Most of this power bank's features work quite well. It holds a charge for long periods and I can refill my phone multiple times on a single charge. The capacity is high, the PD fast charging works, and it can be slipped into a front pants pocket (but it will stick out) so long as you don't mind the weight. My only problem is the wireless charger. It's difficult to reliably align a phone properly on it, and lately it seems the wireless charging cuts out after a minute or two even if you do get the phone aligned. The power bank works well in spite of that, but this is disappointing because the wireless pad is the main reason I tried this one out over its competitors. ... show more
