Easy to install. All function perfect. Backing camera is a real must have for old vehicles. I also like the feature that when it's connected to a phone, you can also connect the phones Bluetooth to the main car console. Possible improvements: 1st, it somehow interferes with the old GPS so I have to install them with a 2 ft distance. By doing so all work perfectly. 2nd, this thing has a quite large screen so adding a divided screen (for instance navigation / rear camera view) would be much nicer.     • Great On A Budget, But With Some Annoying Flaws
TLDR; this is an outstanding choice if you're on a budget, but there's a reason it's not as good as just replacing your car stereo. PROS: - Very clear and vibrant screen, and reasonably (though not perfectly) touch responsive. - Relatively easy to set up, and connects quickly to my phone each time. - The adhesive is one of the strongest I've ever dealt with! If your dash (or wherever you mount it) is clean when you apply it, this thing won't budge unless you pry it off with a butter knife. - The mount is sturdy and the cigarette power adapter has more wire than you'll ever need, so you can easily hide it behind the molding. CONS: - You can only adjust the "pan" of the mount (meaning, whether it points left, right, or straight back) BEFORE you mount it to the dash. There's a screw that's only accessible from the very bottom of the mount, and if you don't hand-tighen it all the way down, the whole unit will shake like a bobblehead whenever you hit a bump. So I highly recommend setting it in the ideal position, tightening the screw, THEN mounting the adhesive. Poor design! - No automatic brightness control, so you'll either be blinded at night, barely able to see it during the day, or frequently going into the main menu to adjust brightness manually. For a device that shipped in 2023 and was meant for a car's dashboard, this seems like a major oversight to save pennies on their production overhead. - No Bluetooth out, which means if your car doesn't have an aux jack, you're stuck using the FM transmitter - which works fine, but if you care about audio quality, you'll be annoyed that you spent this much money on something that sounds like it came from Five Below. Of course, you could use the unit's built-in speaker instead, but just... don't. - Similarly, if your car automatically pulls audio from your iPhone's USB when it's plugged in, there's no way to disable that. You SHOULD be able to just set your car's stereo to USB, and then use the CarPlay display just for visuals and controls - but I suppose that it depends on the car. Probably a good idea to test it before you throw the packaging away if you're worried about it - or just charge through a USB port that doesn't draw audio. - This might seem obvious, but these external units CANNOT take steering wheel commands unless your phone is also hooked up to your car's stereo. Obviously, the volume control will still work, but voice commands, track skip, answer / hang up calls, etc. will all have to be done either from your phone or the CarPlay screen. Overall, if none of the Cons bother you (or if they're worth saving $$$ compared to replacing the whole radio), this unit comes highly recommended. But be ready to spend some time figuring out the best way to make it work for your vehicle, and getting used to it. ... show more

I have mazda 6, 2012 model. This stuff is fantastic! My car fits it wonderfully, and it's quite comfortable to use. It is easy to install and takes up little room because to its small size, and the adjustable mount. Also it connects smooth. I can use car play to navigate around easily. I don't have to hold my phone now for the maps while driving. What a relief. I would highly recommend it to the people with older model without car play. ... show more

Used it in my old car without carplay and this solved the issue. Quality is great. It was easy to connect. Connects to phone fast and very easy to function. Fits well, touch screen is smooth too

    • Good concept; poor execution.
Pros: - connect to Bluetooth flawlessly Cons: - phone link is problematic. Sometimes you can connect, sometimes you can’t even find its wifi link from your phone. When you’re lucky enough to connect, sometimes the signal drops. - the sample video shown by the product on phone link shows that you can mirror your phone streaming media easily. If you’re using YouTube, yes it works. But here in the US where we use Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc, mirroring won’t work. - this one is weird. Once you connect to bluetooth and bluetooth is setup to connect automatically, even if you turn off your phones Bluetooth, this media continues to connect to your phone. I have to go to this media main settings to turn off Bluetooth connection. - screen calibration is weird as well. It only point to one side and when you touch the cross line, the calibration is done. I don’t think that’s how you calibrate the screen properly. - your have to press the screen a little bit more when you scroll or navigate from one window to the next otherwise nothing will happen. - sound is not so good. But if you connect to auxiliary then it comes out better. However not all car radios that comes from factory has an aux, so you end up using its speakers or your phone’s speakers (haven’t tested the radio transmitter). So I have to connect my phone to my car radio to transmit the audio. Just a bunch of connections. - display is acceptable but not superb. In conclusion, I have to return the item due to these issues I encountered. As mentioned, the product seems to be ok but I feel like there’s much needed work to be done before it’s ready for the market. And when that time comes, then I would surely purchase again. ... show more
