Waste of money honestly… I know they had good intentions for this, but it comes off easily and doesn’t stay no time to help… it’s basically stronger than regular plastic wrap but when it comes to the wind and rain it will not hold up and comes right off.. wouldn’t recommend on getting to help keep pool cover from getting wind under it… didn’t work for my above ground pool. It was easy to install. We got a windstorm the next day. Wind definitely got under it and we had to continually put it back on. It doesn’t stay well and we used some tape to secure it. I think it did help keep my cover on.

This is the fourth winter owning an above ground pool. This was the first year I bought the pool "cling wrap" as my husband called it. I really thought it would help a lot with our high winds (I live in a very flat, windy place), but alas, it did not. We had winds about 55 mph and the winter tarp pulled up through the cling cover. I didn't remove it, but it wasn't able to keep the tarp down like I'd hoped. This is after using the ENTIRE box on the pool, versus the several seasons it claimed to hold. I understood our winds are stupid, so thought it would be better, and work. It didn't. Disappointed. I bet in a less windy area though, it would be ok. Just not where I am. Maybe I'll buy two boxes next year and just getting ridiculous with it. Maybe that will work? The idea is sound though, and it wasn't that expensive. ... show more

I live in a very windy area so my pool cover will often get pulled off when the wind gets under the edge. Since I wrapped the pool this year I have not had any problems with the cover and we've had some high winds. I will definitely purchase this product again next year! Word of advice...I had never used this before and didn't realize that you need to stretch the product as you put it on. Don't stretch too much or it will tear. When you wrap around the second time just start to pull harder as you wrap....you will get the feel of it rather quickly. Once you start to stretch it the hold gets much better. ... show more

    • Cover seal did not stay on the pool
I rarely write negative reviews, but I have used the above ground cover seal for two season in a row and both times it has failed. I have an oval shaped above ground pool 18'x33'. Last year I assumed it was just my fault and it was not installed correctly. This year, I read the install instruction multiple times and consulted with the pool company that also sells the cover seal to ensure that I was installing it correctly. I installed the cover seal on Sept 2 with the help of two people to ensure that the seal was stretched tight and was secure on the pool. It appeared to be working fine until Oct 3 when I saw that the entire cover seal had fallen off the pool. My thoughts on why it failed are due to the hot unseasonable temps we have had over the last several weeks that caused the seal to expand, then with a few strong gusts of wind, it just easily came off. Very disappointed. If the manufacture has any tips, I would be happy to hear from them. Unfortunately with my personal experience, I can no longer recommend this product for pool owners. I will probably have to revert back to cover clips. ... show more
