ill give it 4 stars because it does everything it says it does and is functional, easy, and has lasted many months with no issues so far and for the cost, there isnt much competition in my opinion, as the much more costly versions dont improve much on features. however, the lamp itself is somewhat small and while it does get decently bright to work as a nightlight, it doesn’t get bright enough to simulate the sunrise for me. i have used similar alarms before that cost roughly the same but their design or features were lacking. this one has the best design, is easiest to use, and all the same features for this price, i really just wish it could get brighter. i do live in the city, so it is possible it just doesnt get bright enough for me since im used to a lot of other light pollution, but like i said ive tried other lamps that were bright enough, but lacked in other areas so it would be really nice to find one that can do it all. ... show more

we like the sound options. waking up in a relaxing way, hearing the birds chirping and water running as the light slowly gets brighter gives a better start to our morning. this provides a calm wake-up experience. this is soooo much nicer than the “fire alarm jolt” that wakes you up irritable. i appreciate the nightlight aspect too that you can use, so that you don’t have to have 2 different lamps or nightlights. i enjoy the soft-touch option to turn off and on. we enjoy the fun light colors or the just soft lamplight color. i pleasantly surprised at how gentle this morning warmup sound could be. The design is sleek and modern, fitting seamlessly into my bedroom decor. The gradual light feature mimics a sunrise, gently waking me up without the jarring effect of a traditional alarm. I appreciate the customizable brightness levels, allowing me to adjust the light to my preference. The snooze function is handy, giving me those extra precious minutes of sleep. the wake up light only stays on for about 15 minutes whereas our former one lasted an hour after the wakeup alarm setpoint. The reason that this is important is that it takes my family more than 15 minutes of maximum brightness to wake up and I'm busy. Having an hour of max light gives me time to make sure they're awake.
