I ordered this RV awning to enhance our camping experience. The awning was very easy to install. It comes with two sections. A narrow part you install permanently on the roll up end of the RV awning by sliding a bead into a channel of the roll up awning part. The longer section zips onto the short section installed onto the RV awning when we want to use the sunshade. It zips together very easily, and longer section can be quickly removed for storage in the bag provided with the product when we are done using it. The sunshade is lightweight and made of a tough looking woven material that lets some light and breeze through. It really blocks out the sun and makes it much cooler under the awning. It can be staked down to avoid flapping if it is breezy out. This brings me to the one think I don't like about this product. The stakes provided with the sunshade are made of flimsy plastic and are inadequate to staking out the device IMO. I used some other larger, metal stakes that I already had. I took away one star for the inadequate stakes. I expect to get years of good service from this sunshade. I will update this review if that opinion changes. ... show more

I ordered this awning shade to help deal with the brutal heat I encounter while camping in the desert. The awning shade arrived quickly and was well packaged. The overall quality seems to be very good. It's built from thick enough material to be durable while not being overly heavy. Installation on my trailer was super easy, and the resulting shade is amazing! The fabric does allow some air to flow through, which helps to keep things cool, but it also cuts down on stronger wind gusts, which is great. I bought this a month ago and I wasn't able to install it until a couple of days ago. It won't fit into the slot on the awning because the cloth is to thick. I'm going to keep it and mount it with velcro with some modifications

Size: 8x13.3 Shade Screen for 14 ft Awning
The sunscreen panel comes with everything needed to get it slid into the awning track permanently (it can be removed if you wish, but you don't have to take it out every time, you just unzip the bottom part and the top part stays in the track and rolls back up with the awning). I've seen many different styles of awning sunshades, some hang from hooks, some slide into the awning rail like this one, BUT with those, they don't zip apart so they have to be slid in and out of the rail every time you use them. The zipper is genius, and it's a gamechanger for me. Unzip it, put it away, zip it back on to put it on again. No feeding it down the rail every single time! It's mesh so it lets air flow through both ways. It even provides some privacy. It comes with bungees and stakes to secure it to the ground, and they do pretty good in lower wind. We have found in the higher winds, we need to use the twist in stakes - no biggie at all. I know you could hang lots of things from the awning to block the sun, tarps, etc, but this sunshade also blocks UV rays - so it is able to actually keep the temperature under the awning cooler than non blocking items. Which also keeps heat away from the camper, the air runs less and the camper stays more comfortable on those hot days. In a light to moderate rain, we can still sit under the awning as the sunshade blocks the majority of the rain. The fabric is a thick screen, and it is durable and made to last. A storage bag is also provided to protect it while it's being stored in the storage compartments. Recommend this sunshade, very happy! ... show more
