Bought this because it looks so colorful in the pictures… What I received is basically just translucent vinyl with a design on it… It was supposed to be colorful and bright also it doesn’t work amazing as a privacy screen. I probably only distorts what you’re seeing by like 20%… Was hoping this would be good over the shower glass and the bathroom window but I’m afraid it doesn’t do anything but it was advertised to do doesn’t produce nice rainbow rays it’s not colorful and it’s not really a privacy screen. I used this to cover a window and a wine refrigerator see-through glass door. When you measure this, it needs to be cut just a little bit smaller than the area you are putting it on so it adheres to the surface tightly without any edges curling up. Once you get your piece cut then it is a matter of applying it to the surface. The instructions advise using a spray bottle with water and a little dish soap. I washed my surfaces down first just to make sure there wasn’t anything that would cause the vinyl to bubble. I took a hand towel and folded it up so I could place it at the bottom of the project because the water will run once you spray the surface. There is a film on the back of the vinyl that needs to be peeled back and if you peel it down about halfway and placed the top on first, then start rubbing across and down the vinyl as you press it down the window. That way you can work the bubbles out as you go instead of having to come back and work them out. The back of the vinyl is a little sticky so if you leave part of the film on, it won’t get wet and Your fingers won’t remove the stick’em on the vinyl. The media could not be loaded. Does black out light completely. (Black version was bought) kinda hard to install. Was expecting a stickier back but it's more of a window film than a sticker. It's not super sparkly but it is pretty with interior lighting. With how I installed/cut it there are some gaps where the sun shines thru so there are imperfections at the edges. Make sure ur blades are sharp and cut with ample room for error. Again not sparkly as pictured but very pretty. ... show more

This worked as I wanted to blackout the window on my door. It does not sparkle like the photo shows unless you’re really close to it, and even then it needs direct sunlight and it’s faint. Aesthetically, if you primarily want the sparkle look-don’t get this; but if you want the blackout get it. It is not transparent. It’s easy to install and cut. It sticks very well. It’s easy to maintain and clean. It doesn’t have a weird smell when you open it either. I would use it again for blackout only, but the thumbnail is misleading in my opinion. ... show more

My daughter door is glass. This product is easy to use and sticks in well. My problem was probably user error but cutting for each pain left holes in the corner. My solution was to put it on the other side of the door also. Now nobody can peek in her room.

I almost burnt my hands trying to smooth it on my window because the film got so hot. And to be clear, it's currently 9° outside, it REALLY absorbs the heat from the sun. I can't even imagine how hot it would make my room in summer time. I'm taking it down. I guess it works ok blacking out the window, but it doesn't have the pretty colors on it like it shows in the photos. Waste of money. ... show more
