I have 6 years old boy starts to love basketball. I found this on Amazon. I was able to assemble within 1 hr. However, the instruction is not difficult since the seller will send you an updated version. I am have been using it for 1 week now. It is very sturdy and easy to adjust the height. Keep in mind to put something very heavy on the base and I also fill with water to make it extra stable on the ground.     • Some issues with the instructions but it's holding up well so far

This came packaged well, the biggest pieces being the backboard and the base plus three poles. But almost right away there were issues with the instructions not matching the bags of bolts and that took a good 10 minutes of excess wasted time trying to sort things out and match things to the picture...and at that point everything is suspect. Assembly also starts immediately by having to bend a bar into a Y shape, which seems odd to me. It worked out fine but that kind of stuff seems weird, what if it goes too far? Maybe they design it to prevent that but we don't know that as the consumer. Anyway, we seem to have gotten most assembly issues sorted...just had to overcome having the lowest pole installed backwards initially, so had to undo the supports and turn it around. So far we have only installed the middle pole for height since we have younger kiddos, but are thinking about adding the highest pole on the lowest setting. Added water to the base plus a little weight and things are holding up well. It's a little baffling at how complicated it still is to set these up now, it shouldn't be that difficult. I’ve always wanted a basketball hoop at my house and I was really excited getting this one. It was pretty easy to set up, I wasn’t a fan of the instruction manual but other than that it wasn’t very difficult to set up. The quality of the hoop is nice, it doesn’t look cheap.

Firstly, the assembly process was a nightmare. The instructions provided were vague and confusing, and the parts did not fit together as seamlessly as I had expected. It took me and a friend several hours to put the hoop together, and even then, we were left with a few extra pieces that we couldn't figure out where to place. Secondly, the adjustable height mechanism is far from user-friendly. The process of adjusting the height is cumbersome and time-consuming, requiring the use of a wrench and a significant amount of force. This makes it difficult to adjust the height quickly during a game, which defeats the purpose of having an adjustable hoop in the first place. Lastly, the hoop's stability is a major concern. Even after following the assembly instructions to the letter, the hoop wobbles and shakes with every shot, making it difficult to play without fear of the entire structure collapsing. In conclusion, I would not recommend this adjustable outdoor basketball hoop to anyone. The assembly process is frustrating, the height adjustment mechanism is cumbersome, the materials used are of poor quality, and the stability of the hoop is questionable. Save yourself the headache and invest in a more reliable and user-friendly product. ... show more

When I opened the box I was excited because all the pieces were individually bagged and labeled, so I thought assembly would be a breeze. It was at about step 2 that I realized that the labels didn't match the instructions! Needless to say it took more time to put together than I thought because the pieces were all similar. Once I got it together, it was a very fine hoop and I had fun playing with my nephew and neighbors. Then the first rain came and the base turns into a small pool. WI has had a very wet spring and I find myself constantly scooping out the pooled water. Aside from the complicated assembly and the pooling water, the hoop itself is great! ... show more

This was the best quality outdoor basketball hoop that I can find on Amazon. My husband was able to build it in an hour. I love the glass, backboard, the mesh netting, the steel rim and the sturdy base that you can fill with water or sand. It’s held up in weather and it still looks brand new. My son loves shooting hoops. You can build it to the standard height of 10 feet. You can easily move it around if needed on its wheels, great value for the money.
