I reached out directly to the Wilton team for support with the case latch which was broken on arrival. My intent was to get the simple latch replacement instead of re-packing the entire vice + case that weighs ~50 pounds and doing a return through Amazon. I called Wilton customer support at 800.274.6846, was transferred to someone's voicemail and left a detailed message. No response in 6 days, so I guess I'll pack it all back up and do a return through Amazon. I know it seems superficial, but the case costs ~$50 alone and I'd prefer it reliably contain the heavy vice and not fail on the job. ... show more

    • Awesome vise but don’t order with the case
The vise is awesome. The way they ship it with the plastic case is dumb. It’s way too heavy to handle the trip and the snaps on the case are broken. Amazon gave me a $40 credit which I think is fair.

    • Maybe a little overpriced, but it works!
Needed to get the head off of a yard hydrant at a remote site. Bought this and it clamped down on the pipe and let me turn it off with ease. They cost too much, but it's made very well and does the job.

    • Haven't used the vise yet, but the case arrived with both latches missing!
I paid extra for the case only to have it arrive with both latches missing. Others have commented that the case is not well designed, so makes sense to just order vise alone. Oh well. Too heavy to both returning the vise over the cheap case.
