  • If you don't get along with your long irons, try this club.
Size: 20.5 Degree Loft Style Name: Hybrid
Even when I was way younger and was fit enough to walk the course several times a week--I could not control my long irons properly. Maybe because I had back surgery and it's not possible to have a completely smooth movement with my swing. Whatever--hybrids and now this fybrid have saved the day. I no longer need to get along with my long irons. I think you will find that you will have an easier time getting the ball where you want it to go with this club. With it's light weight shaft and head, and the inner make-up and shape of the club head, this club will give you an edge--an advantage. It's great for those less experienced and those with less oomph. Make sure you are fitted properly for club length. If this club is an inch too short or too long, then it's not going to help you any which way. Here is a bit of info, that may or may not be helpful to you. Just stop reading if it doesn't apply; don't get peeved, you know? I post it because it might help someone. This is not a good length for a tall woman--which I am. But I had an idea recently, and I tried it out with this shorter-than-normal-for-me club. I am many decades older than I was when I walked the course, and I just don't have the strength in my back that I used to have. I do run out of energy on the long fairways in the back nine. I found myself hitting the ground. So now, when I find my strength failing me, I take out this shorter length club and it helps compensate for my slumping back. ... show more

  • Lightweight, helps with miss to the right and gives a higher angle out of the 5 wood
Size: 20.5 Degree Loft Style Name: Hybrid
This is basically a combination of older fairway woods and recent hybrids that based on my research and my instructors advice and its specifications can replace (on the book) 3 or 4 iron (or 3 hybrid) or 5 or 7 wood. Mine is the women's version and apparently the men's version for some reason is called "FY" which has a 19.5 degree of loft. This Fybrid loft is 20.5 degree but not sure what the extra degree do for women. I guess something with the height. Shaft is UST Helium and the Grip is relatively light and soft and overall I feel it's a relatively light hybrid. I have tested it 3-4 times during the past 3 months and I noticed that it is kinda similar to my 7 iron (I hit around 100yard and 120 yards when I do good). This Fybrid is giving me a little better length, most of the times I was getting 120 to 140 when I was hitting good. One big advantage of this Fybrid is that I noticed it helps with lowering the chances of miss to the right and reduce slice which is great for higher handicappers like myself. Overall, since this is designed for higher handicappers (10+) and it helps with the slice, I do recommend this club for less experienced players (like myself) that are looking for some help. It's lightweight and helps with building speed and has a good size and grip. ... show more

  • smooth and great!
Size: 20.5 Degree Loft Style Name: Hybrid
Good launch pad! This is a really nice launch pad for any expertise. I average at golf and I want to improve my skills and this launch pad was the perfect one to polish some of my shots. The Wilson fybrid has really nice performance. Typically I hit a 7 iron about a 165 yards and with the Fybrid launch pad, I was hitting 190-195 yards in carry distance. The head, shaft. And grip are all very light weight and helps with a greater launching angle and distance. The 20.5 degree angle definitely improves my shot. I find that it’s the perfectly size and length for me and it definitely helps with improving my hits. Works very smooth and great! ... show more

  • Added control, better accuracy, more power than an iron
Size: 16 Degree Loft Style Name: Fairway Woods
This is not a driver. It is a 3 wood. This for long fairways, to be used by golfers who don't have much "oomph" to move the ball very far on the drive. You use your driver first, then this one could get you close to the green. This is a fairway wood--good for those golfers who find their long irons don't like them--or vice versa. Like me. My long irons despise me, and take every opportunity to let me know. I dislike them, too, so I leave them at home and tuck my trusty fairway woods and hybrids into my golf bag. Many years ago I embraced woods, then I embraced hybrids. So my long irons have gone by the wayside. In my last golf club set purchase, I did not include any irons longer than a six. A wood or a hybrid gives a mediocre or inexperienced golfer--or one with less strength than the above average golfer--more control than an iron. This one is no different. I found that this fairway wood gives me added control, and tidies up my accuracy. It is a nice light weight, so that gives me a little extra power behind my swing. The key to its helpfulness, is the combination of a lighter weight, the shape of the head, the angle, the grooves on the outside and the internals, plus a nicely weighted and (just a touch) pliable shaft. This is a woman's club. If you are over 5'8"-5'9" tall, and you have stamina, you should get fitted for the correct length before buying here. But here is something interesting that I learned after trying an experiment for myself. It may or may not be info you can use: My clubs are about an 1 1/2" longer than a regular woman's set of clubs. But I got this club (and one other) knowing they would be short for me. This past year, I found that my energy, my strength, my stamina is not what it used to be. I noticed that my swing was off whack on the last half of the back nine and I was banging my club into the ground. (Yikes!) So, I decided to add a shorter fairway wood to my bag. It has helped. Was I slumping in my fatigue? Yes, and a shorter club has not corrected my swing, but it does allow me to have my fatigue and helps counteract it. ... show more

  • Nice club for me
Size: 20.5 Degree Loft Style Name: Hybrid
I'm in no way a great golfer... I wouldn't even say good... or even okay. I am really bad at golf. My husband loves golf though and we generally go to the course twice a year to keep him happy. I've been using his set of clubs as I don't have my own. I would often start with his driver, which is too long and a bit heavy for me, but sometimes I'd even use a 3 iron from the tee as I felt it was a better size for me. Then I would often use the 3 or 4 to work my way closer to the green. I had to get this club and I love it! It's a perfect combination between a driver and a 3 iron. It's about half the size of his driver but still big enough to get the ball off a tee. I can see using this at the tee and throughout much of the course. It's the right length for this 5'5" woman and it's not heavy. ... show more
