I installed the unit in a 2005 F150 V8 4.6 engine. For the first couple of weeks the clutch kept making wird noises like something was rubbing. The sound went away after that time. I replaced the compressor, accomulator, and already there the belt. Used 3 cans of freon to recharge the system. So far it has been working well for about a month. Summer is around the corner and will update how it performs or if it fails when temperature reaches the 115 - 120 here in town. As far the price ??? Good deal as I found it for less than 100 dlls and no local store or salvage yard could beat that price. The one star off is because the clicking noise when the clutch kicks in.     • This is just the compressor. Pay no attention to anything else the description might say.
It's been working for a month so hopefully it's good for the long term. There were no problems with the actual unit. However, the description said it came charged with oil and also with an extension for the wiring harness. It came with no instructions at all. Often replacements come with a flyer that tells you whether you should drain and refill the oil or that it's prefilled and also tell what type of oil to use. The lack of such a flyer is not a big deal if you've replaced compressors before but for someone making their first try at this they can be helpful. In any case, be sure you drain and measure the oil from these so you know what you are working with. Normally you will also drain the oil from the old compressor and measure it too. Then put that amount of new oil (don't reuse the oil from either compressor) plus perhaps an additional ounce into the new compressor. For this compressor, despite how it was described, had less than half an ounce of oil in it and it did not come with the wire harness extension. I had to make my own extension which was irritating because I had to cut the factory wires to do it. Aside from that stuff the compressor is working and makes no funny noises and the system pressures are as they should be. ... show more

Clutch is very noisy for a new compressor. don’t even want to attempt removing it and replacing it again. Was in a very tight spot. Will deal with the noise for now ugh!

Bought this compressor and it took a crap and they don’t wanna warranty this part from the manufacture . I wouldn’t recommend buying products from this company

Bought this for my 1996 Crown vic interceptor. had valvoline quick serv intall and charge it.. HEADS Up For the first day or two after instal the clutch has a tick that goes away very soon. Ice cold A/C within seconds... this thing is great!!!!
