    • Great set to get into the game
I purchased this set to try the game of golf out. When I received the set I was impressed with the value for the money. The clubs are well built (Strata is made by Callaway) and includes pretty much everything you need to get out on the course outside of balls and tees. The grips are decent, and pretty comfortable. The clubs some mostly with steel shafts, with the exception of the driver, which has a graphite shaft. The irons in this set are pretty good. They offer good feedback through your hands whether you have hit it well or not, and as long as you have the club face square and put a decent swing on it, will go plenty long and straight. There are a couple things I added/upgraded rather quickly. 1st, the only wedge that comes in this set is a pitching wedge, which is fine, but adding a set of wedges helps a ton around the greens. 2nd, the shaft on the driver is extremely flexy. As a bigger guy who also plays slowpitch, I have a decent swing speed. Unfortunately this is not a great fit for someone like me, and I upgraded to a Cobra Rad XB recently. For many new golfers, this driver will be more than fine to get going with. Overall this is a great starter set to test the waters with if you're interested in playing golf. ... show more

To all the people complaining that this set isn't made by Callaway, do some research! A quick google search on these clubs will tell you they aren't made by Callaway, they are just distributed by Callaway. To those complaining about durability; for some of you, I'd suggest only hitting golf balls with the clubs... Or maybe don't try your best Happy Gilmore impression. It's pretty obvious from some photos that it wasn't a golf ball or average golf swing that caused that much damage. Consider what you're paying and what you're getting here. This is a BEGINNER'S SET! A driver alone is $400 and up from one of the "big 5" manufacturers, and that's not including a bag, set of irons, woods, and putter. Highly doubt many beginners are ready to drop $3k on a full set of PING clubs. Like with any product, you're going to have some bad and some good. All things considered this is a great set for the price. Driver: Good - Isn't going to last forever. If you're pushing pro swing speeds, you'll probably just destroy this driver after a few rounds or less. Otherwise, forgiving, well balanced, durable enough for the average player. 3 wood/5h: Good - 5h does everything you need it to. 3 wood may have similar problems as driver. Irons: Amazing! - Very sturdy, forgiving, great ball flight. Putter: Good - Basic blade with ball alignment. Yes, the bottom gets scuffed. Sorry to burst your bubble, but clubs are going to show signs of wear when used... Bag/club covers: Great - lightweight, plenty of storage. Better than anyone is willing to give credit for. Covers aren't anything special, but good enough and aesthetically pleasing. ... show more

I'm very pleased with the clubs. I'm 5'10" and they are a perfect fit for me. Great beginners club. They came wrapped nicely in the bag, in the box. I recommend them. Great clubs for the money!

    • Great for Seniors or Just Getting Back Into the Game
I've recently gotten back into golf, and the Strata Callaway Golf Set for Men has been a game-changer for me. This 12-piece set includes everything I need: a driver, 3 wood, 5 hybrid, 6-9 irons, PW, putter, stand bag, and two head covers. As someone just getting back into the game, I didn't want to spend a fortune, and this set's price point was perfect. The driver, with its oversized head and large sweet spot, has been fantastic off the tee, giving me the forgiveness and distance I need. My favorite club in the set is the hybrid 5, which has boosted my confidence on various shots. The irons are also of excellent quality, especially considering the price. The mallet putter with alignment aids has improved my accuracy on the green. If you're thinking about getting back into golf or are a senior player, I highly recommend this set. Strata is made by Callaway if you wanted to know more about the product. Got a set for my Brother so he would quit taking my set out. The set was packaged well and is a sharp looking set. Wasn't looking to spend a crazy amount but wanted to get him a good starter kit. I actually was gifted a set too and for how much I golf it's a great way to start out. Clubs are light weight but unless your a SLICE KING like me, its a great set to learn on and the lengths fit us perfect (6' -6' 3"). Be careful with the driver it can dent easier than expected but it took my 4 years from owning them to do it.....so don't try to be a Happy Gilmore. Unless you're ready to take on Shooter McGaven than more power to you. All in all great set for beginners or just average joes looking to get out and whack some balls. ... show more

I saw this set of clubs on sale during one of the prime day deals wanting to get into the game with a decent set of clubs so I wouldn't have to borrow or worry about damaging anyone else's clubs starting out. As a more casual golfer I can say that this set has so far done really well for me and I can't complain with it after having it for a little over a year now. The customer service is really nice as well since when I got a crack in my driver head I was told to send it back and it would be replaced! Highly recommend this set for other beginners looking to get into the game for relatively cheap. ... show more

The clubs are great for the price but the drivers flex is like a fishing pole, the irons flex seem fine though. The bags cover is bad quality since it tore.
