Very nice football I base my football reviews on three points, general grip, throwability, and catchability. general grip: 5/5 the grip is excellent, particularly the laces, but the leather is tacky enough that it can be thrown from almost anywhere. it is easy to hold onto as well. throwability: 5/5. the laces are very good and I've never had trouble throwing a good spiral with this ball. easy to throw accurately oo. catchability: 5/5. my receivers never complain about this ball being hard to catch, as we have had trouble with some other footballs in the past. It can however hurt to catch though, if thrown hard, but this is typical of any leather football and does not detract from it in any way. overall: 5/5. This is one of the best footballs I've had, and I can't find any fault in it whatsoever ... show more

Over the past years, I have been playing football in China, Shanghai to be precise, with a growing number of local fans. We had our share of "footballs" that are made locally and quite cheap to be honest but eventually every single one of them would just lose shape and lose its grip. Two of our QBs got official Wilson footballs back a while a go and every time we will have them for a game you could feel the difference instantaneously. And since I have been following NCAA games, and I want to help my team I decided to order this version. The shipment from the USA to China was faster than expected (by 1 week) and the parcel arrived in perfect conditions. The ball came inflated already, so there is no risk of being faulty. This ball feels amazing. I have also ordered the Wilson kit to break it in and the tacky spray to help with grip. Will let you all know once this rain clears later in the week! Honestly it feels pretty good without it but I want to extend the life of the ball. Wilson leather products feel hand made.
