Used these on multi-day trip with torrential rains. They held the tarp well, I love the pointed end. One did fill with water and surprised me with a geyser when i collapsed it. My only issue is that I can’t find any references to how to fully clear the water and dry them on the inside. I will buy more of the taller version. ... show more

I have used them in porch mode for my large tent and also for setting up my tarp. I really like how they are light but very sturdy. I also like how I can easily change the height of the poles. What I really love is that the bottom of the pole has a pointed end that can go in the ground and gives it more stability. I have used them on windy days, and they held up nicely. These poles had some unique features compared to most others. First is that they were on the longer side fully extended. That said, they are somewhat unstable fully extended but I imagine all of them are. Second they collapse into a fairly compact length (compared to some others). But the biggest feature is the metal pointy feet. I feel this makes setup easier on earthen surfaces. I liked these so much that a friend took my set and I bought a second set to replace them. All of these extra features does come at a premium price but I feel it is worth the money. ... show more

I used these on a 5-day rafting trip in a place where there aren’t a lot of trees. Used these to keep up a 10x10 shade tarp using guy lines to tie everything down. These poles are easy to use, easy to adjust, sturdy, and performed great over the entire trip. I’ll be buying a couple more because 4 poles makes more sense if there aren’t a lot of trees around. This will be my lightweight replacement for the big 10x10 pop up canopies that weigh a ton and take up lots of car space. I highly recommend these poles. ... show more
