I got this for travel since not all hotels have irons. I found out the hard way on our last trip and went to fine dining with a winkled shirt. Now I keep this in my luggage. The steamer is pretty compact when folded. It fits into a small bag and it’s like a little hair dryer. The streamer is pretty easy to use. Just load the back with water, hang the shirt with a hanger and start ironing. It gets hot pretty fast. There’s an attachment that would provide some spacer if you don’t want the metal plate to make contact. There’s also a plastic packaging film on the metal part, so be sure to remove it before using. The tank on this tiny steamer is big enough to finish a 5 by 7 photo backdrop cloth. It stands upright. The unit's durability and the stream's strength with the portable gun handle make it a competitor, in my opinion. It’s heats very fast.
