*Read the prequel short!* I didn’t know it existed until the end of book 3, ha-ha. I LOVED this book! It’s got a ton of spice, and angst, and drama, and the most bad*ss female lead!! I adore Stella. She knows what she wants, and she works for it! She has a life, and a backstory, with friends and hobbies that you see continue to be important, even as she makes new friends (girls and guys! Yay). The friction and heat between Stella and Sebastian is so good! I totally thought we were going reverse-harem in this book, though we do not (and there will not be in the later books for Stella/Seb either). There’s quite a bit of exhibitionism/voyeurism though! I feel like the trigger warnings oversold a little (yes, I’m the type to read the trigger warnings to see if the spicy stuff is going to check my boxes). I wish there was a bit more, but I did so enjoy what we had!! I’d rather a trigger warning go too far and protect sensitive folks anyway, so well-done there. May I add that the guy calls the gal ‘whore’ the entire freaking first 3 books though?! I had to substitute another word in my head at times because it was way overused. Pet names or sexy-time names or insults can get really repetitive fast, and they use the same one for everything Stella related. Ugh. She’s a bad*ss, let’s call her that, huh? I also appreciate how the author calls out fangirling over mafia shows and MC stuff like Sons of Anarchy, when that’s what the book is about. Nice little side plug for other ways to get our fix of the good stuff. Awesome book, wonderful trilogy for this couple, excited to read the additional books in this series and the spinoffs. ... show more

Stella Doukas begins at Knights Ridge after moving to London with her father. She bumps into Sebastian at school only to realize he is the stranger she had sex with in the graveyard. Yes ladies, it’s hot as hell!! Seb is a sexy alpha, covered in tats (my favorite), who has set his sights on Stella. His sinister plan: break her in two. Seb has deep-seated hatred for her dad, Galen Doukas, and his need for revenge drives him. What better way to hurt Galen than by ruining his precious daughter. The one thing Seb didn’t count on, Stella is fierce and can absolutely hold her own. This girl has sass seeping out her pores. And boy does she give him a run for his money! The witty back and forth was highly entertaining, and I soaked up this story FAST! Seb’s demons pour out onto Stella as a means to an end. But as he thirsts for retribution, he finds his craving for Stella so deep he can’t untangle himself from their explosive chemistry. These two have sparks flying at every turn! And oh baby, the sexy talk definitely lights a fire! Seb and his posse are the bad boys we all love to hate and want simultaneously. We get Alex, Toby, Theo, and Nico and they are highly entertaining! Hanging with Stella we meet Emmie, another badass, and Cally, Nico’s sister. These friends are the definition of family, and I love the group settings! And we get some spicy scenes with the boys and Stella! Add in the mafia and let the action begin! This series is fast-paced and does not disappoint! The sex is steamy AF and ramps up as we go. And the intensity of these two grabs you around the throat and never lets go. There are lots of little mysterious morsels fed to you, and you can’t help but gobble them up. But the plot twists are like a sucker punch! You don’t see them coming at all! If you are looking for a hot, new adult, mafia, bully romance this is the book for you. Stella and Seb practically burn up the page. The chemistry between them is amazing. Stella is a tough lady who takes no BS from anyone, even the kings of the school. I love that even later in the story she does not turn into a simpering little girl that waits for Seb to rescue her. The definition of self-rescuing princess. Poor Seb did not know what he was in for. Stella turns his world upside down. No matter how much he wants to hate her, he desires her more and nothing will stop him from having her. This whole series was so good, I could not put it down. ... show more

Stella and Toby are definitely two forces to be reckoned with. Stella’s the new girl in school, once again. She’s led an almost nomad life of move after move, but it seems this is the place she’s settling for good, at least according to her dad. Deb is one of the “cool” kids, inspiring sighs among girls and fear among boys and men. When they collide they’re a force of nature, explosive, passionate. But not everything is as it seems and what was supposed to be revenge from one side quickly turns to more. This is more than a YA love story and I can’t wait for more. ... show more
