I ordered this RV water softener because my RV is located in a spot with a lot of calcium in the water. It's so bad that it visibly coated my sink drains with a calcium buildup after only a few months. I don't mind hard water for washing and showering, but it's no good to have calcium buildup on your pipes. This water softener should solve the problem. It softens the water a lot and is very easy to hook up. Some reviewers mention that the manufacturer doesn't recommend it for drinking, but I already have a filter for my drinking water which I would recommend for everyone anyway. If you have hard water where you are camping in your RV I'd consider this a must-have, if only to avoid plumbing issues down the road. ... show more
