**Edit** I have been using this, as I said, from the 29th of November and am just now needing to regenerate it. Granted, it is only me in my trailer, but I use a normal amount of water, even doing wash in a portable machine, so about 12 gallons every couple of weeks, along with showers and dishes, and the toilet. I think that’s an excellent amount of soft water for that long of a period, nearly three months! I am even more impressed now. *** This is working well. I have had it hooked up to my travel trailer system since the 29th of November and am still getting soft, soft water. On the hardness scale, it is still down at the lowest, nearly green, which is the least hard water. I did have another brand before this but that one leaked after a couple of years of use. So far this one is perfect, was easy to install and has no leaks at all. I don’t mind drinking the soft water and really don’t have a choice since there is only one input. (I don’t buy water) I honestly don’t think it’s bad tasting at all, in fact it’s better tasting than the soft water at home. I did hook two different filter systems up between this and the source since the water where I winter is horribly sandy and very, very hard. The filters help keep this running free and clear. I use much less detergent when doing clothes and less shampoo too. My skin looks better and hair is great with the softened water. I haven’t yet had to regenerate, so if anything changes I will update my review. I’m very happy with this purchase! ... show more

Easy to set up, good size, great soft water inside our big RV as soon as we received it. When we regenerated it a few weeks later, the test strip shows our water was HARD. I contacted the seller who responded almost immediately suggesting to regenerate again and if that didn't solve the issue (which it did!), then to let them know and they would do whatever was needed to make it work. What a treat to deal with a company that is so helpful!!! Since we have such hard water here in the desert that we should have probably regenerated sooner... We're extremely glad we bought this portable water softener from a responsible seller that is so caring to make sure it works for us! We highly recommend this product! ... show more

This water softener works just like it says. Some reviewers had problems with leaks or some other things- forget that. Mine arrived as promised in a well packed box with all things you need to start a very simple procedure to start getting soft water with in minutes. The tank weighs 25 lbs out of the box with an easy lift handle and after making soft water and disconnecting tank for storage it only weighs 30 lbs, still easy to handle and it looks good. I drained my RV water system and ran the soft water throughout all the water lines and hot water heater and of course into the freshwater tank. One thing you need are test strips to check your water quality (softness/hardness). This is what makes you a believer. You’ll love it , think no more, BUY IT !!! ... show more
