Just spent only about 10 minutes putting this shelf together. I have had to purchase a number of shelving after moving and this company, Whitmor, is top notch. Some other shelving from other companies have small pieces of metal coming off that can get into your hands. Whitmore shelving is smooth, legs wrapped so that there are no marks on each. Very easy to put together. Have ordered different types of Whitmor and they are all very well made, the great quality easy to put together. Not a bad shelf for the money. Easy to install with no tools required. As far as durability, I wouldn't trust putting 200 lbs objects on it as the manufacfurer listed on their specs.

This is a GREAT solid rack of shelves that I put together in less than 5 minutes. Placed it in my garage to house ALL my high end car washing supplies including 3 large buckets, car dryer, 25' extension cord, TONS of bottles of lotions and potions, my creeper wheels underneath the bottom shelve with ease, and I still have room for more. LOTS of shelving space for small square foot sized shelving! Bottom of legs are adjustable for uneven floor (Like my garage floor) I would highly recommend for the price.     • Sturdy utility shelf from a company with great customer service
This shelf is as described and easy to assemble in less than five minutes. I bought two of the 24" wide shelves. They can hold very heavy objects and are also very easy to disassemble. I also want to mention that I had to contact the manufacturer because one of the two shelves came with only three out of four leveling feet. The call to the company, through the "contact" button on Amazon, was VERY easy. I was on hold for less than 30 seconds and the customer service agent who answered my call was able to take my shipping info and product number and ship out a new foot within a few days. While the missing part was not ideal, I would have no hesitation to order another shelf from this company. ... show more

Easy to assemble, even if some of the collar pieces were a bit finicky, and I appreciate that it is not very tall or visible for where I have it for it’s purpose. It’s serving as a simple gym rack and bearing up well under an altogether 190 lbs. this way I can access my weights and other workout accessories so much easier, in a subtle location next to the treadmill. I really like this shelf, but it took me forever to put it together. I normally have no problem assembling items, but the instructions were skimpy and I kept messing up. There is a customer support number from the manufacturer that I called out of frustration but they never returned my call as promised. When I put it together, it was really wobbly and wouldn't stand up very well. Ultimately I realized I had the shelves facing the wrong way. I thought the edges around the shelf should be on top of each shelf so that things wouldn't fall off; the edges are supposed to be on the underside of each shelf. There was also one part missing, but I never figured out what those parts were for so it was no problem and the shelf is fine now. It now works great, very sturdy, and I'm glad I bought it. ... show more

If you are searching for inexpensive shelving, don't even bother looking at particle board shelves (the cheap ones from Target, IKEA, etc.)! These shelves look nicer and are sturdier. Right now I'm using these shelves next to my desk for video game consoles and my mail inbox. My parents have a larger version with wheels that they've used for years to store electronics/old TV. Pros: -Very easy to put together, took me less than 30 minutes. My shelves are pretty straight with little adjustment. Taking them apart looks simple, and if needed I can store them in a flat box. -Matches most decors, blends in. -Very sturdy (won't sag like particle board) -They seem durable so far. Once I upgrade my furniture I can see them being used in a closet or the garage (multipurpose!) -This size is lightweight, easy to move -Adjustable shelves -Space between wires is small enough that most small/thin objects should not slip through. -Feet are adjustable so if your floor isn't quite level you can make the shelves level. Cons: -I wouldn't call them "pretty." They are rather industrial-looking. But they do the job and they don't look ugly or cheap. -If you are using this as a bookshelf, you will need some bookends because there are no sides -There were some pieces in the box that were not listed in the instructions. They may be wider feet for carpets? I'm not sure what to do with them. -Depending on what you want to use these for, an extra shelf would be nice if you are only storing short items. If I need more shelving in the future, I'll definitely consider this brand (Whitmor) again. ... show more
