I knew they would shrink being 100% cotton, but I needed approximately 102”, so I bought the 108” length (4 pairs). I originally found identical ones selling for $40/ pair, and then found these for $25 pair, what a bargain. The first 6 photos are before washing. I hung one pair immediately to see the how they would block the light. I live on the top floor, with 4 living room windows that face west, and my new bamboo shades don’t block anything…it’s blinding, hot, and my previous curtains are too transparent. These are perfect! The first two photos show direct afternoon western sun, which is no longer blinding and the room still glows nicely. These are the “slub white” and have a nice texture that reminds me of birch trees. I washed one pair to see how they would turn out. I washed on gentle cycle, cold water, and did dry on low for about 20 minutes (even though it says to hang dry) and then hung them back up. They shrank perfectly to just touch the floor…I didn’t iron or steam them, and the sides are slightly wrinkled. They could definitely be ironed for a more defined pleat, but the back tabs create enough pleats for me. They shrank about 5”- 6” but you can also pull/ stretch them to make them a bit longer. I’m happy I don’t have to hem them. The stitching was done very well, straight seams, no loose threads. I’m going to wash the other 3 pairs and hope all come out to the same length. These are great for privacy, unlike many of the light filtering curtains, you cannot see in at night but still get light during the daytime. ... show more

These curtains were exactly what I was looking for until I noticed one set was shorter than the other. I ordered 2 sets in 108”. I really wanted to love these and unfortunately I took them out of the package to hang after the return window so I can’t return the shorter set. The drapes are perfect! They are cotton and feel more like a soft "canvas" type fabric; ( about the weight of twill.). I machine washed and dried them in warm water /high heat. There was very little shrikage. I felt they needed to be ironed right out of the dryer but the wrinkles were not severe. The fabric is so easy to live with! It irons beautifully. Allows light without sacrificing privacy. And just toss in the washer when you’re ready to clean. I looked for a very long time to find the perfect curtains. Done!

They looked nice. However got some yellow stains on them when rain leaked through the sliding doors. The stain washed out beautifully, BUT when I hung them back up, they had SHRUNK a full foot!!! I had taken sure of the laundry directions and followed the manufacturer directions. Pros: look really nice... stains easily removed CONS: SHRINKS!!!
