These lights are cute and about 1" round clear balls. There are a total of 50 bulbs per set of lights and you get 2 sets in this package. There is quite a length of non-bulb wire that is connected to the solar panel. This allows you to put the solar panel stake in the ground and have the lights hanging high enough without losing the effect of lights up high. Setup is VERY easy. I was planning to use these lights on a portion of the yard where the fenced area for our dogs is not lit well at night. Unfortunately, the lights do not produce enough light for this purpose. I will, however, move these lights to my back deck for a nice lighting effect where a lot of light is not necessary. It's more for a pretty visual effect. Finally, I found a set of lights that work when you turn them on, are not the size of a marble and throw some light in the back yard. The past two years I have ordered lights elsewhere at a few different places and they were so tiny and dim. The wiring was so flimsy that they broke in no time. These are exactly what I was looking for! They accent our patio area so much. Adds a nice ambience. Each bulb is about the size of a quarter, so they are not the big ones. When I put these lights up for the very first time, half of the string broke right off. The one half that was left still worked- luckily. I don't know whether it's not in a very sunny area and doesn't get enough solar power but I don't think these lights hold the charge very well. They worked for the one night I bought them for and they were inexpensive. If you're looking for a one-time purchase that should last for a while, this would not be it.
