  • Great power output.
Style: 2550 Watts - Dual Fuel - RV Ready
☆☆☆☆☆ ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 out of 5 stars. · a few seconds ago Awesome generator Really like this generator's size, weight, sound level and portability. Easy to start and quite powerful for its size. The fact that it has dual fuel capability is a plus. Personally I like using it running on propane. Good for home power outage, tailgating and camping. Hope to have it trouble free for several years. After break-in and running approximately 25 hours I gave it its first oil change and used a synthetic oil. In my opinion it is smartly designed. Truly wish it had an hour meter though to track its usage for oil changes and other maintenance, Recommends this product ✔ Yes ... show more

  • Does What I Need it to Do.
Style: 2550 Watts - Dual Fuel - RV Ready
Live in the Houston area, which seems to lose power for days with every hurricane or major storm. Texas is hot and humid, you do not want to be without some AC for very long. Assembly and operating direction were simple. Started with a few pulls using propane. Plugged in a 6000 BTU window AC unit, the refrigerator (normal settings), and charged my phone for a 2-hour test run. Ran great and carried the load. Good size and weight. Noise level is fine. Because it will be sitting in storage most of the time, plan only to use propane. The dual fuel option was a big selling point for me. ... show more

  • Great inverter/generator, but can be awkward with LP gas gear and funnel needs improving
Style: 2550 Watts - Dual Fuel - RV Ready
All told, an excellent inverter/generator. The sale price ($499) was fantastic! I didn't even need a generator, but I bought it anyways. Quiet, Westinghouse quality, powerful enough in an emergency... Again, at that price, you can't go wrong. I only have two complaints, and the first is pretty much universal for all dual-fuel generators -- they can be awkward with the LP hose and regulator. That's the nature of the beast... But my second issue is more serious. The supplied funnel is corrugated, and that means it's difficult to control the exact amount of oil and or additive flowing into the machine. Westinghouse... Please supply smooth, angled funnels! ***UPDATE*** Break-in is now complete... My comments above are still relevant, but here are more thoughts... During the break-in, the iGen2550DFc stalled out after about 45 minutes twice. I contacted Westinghouse Technical Support and they (not sure if human or AI) walked me through some basic t-shooting steps... One step involved possible propane regulator freeze-ups which was clearly not the case, and the other step was to check the gap on the spark plug, which again was clearly not the case because the generator ran for 45 minutes before stopping twice. My hunch all along was that the carbon monoxide detector was too sensitive, and over time would accumulate enough CO to stop the machine. Finally, Westinghouse Tech Support agreed with me and sent out a new CO sensor but refused to offer instructions on how to install it. Instead, they told me that it was "easy" and that the sensor was behind the choke... I was on my own... No problem... I'm mechanical and the problem is fixed... But I fear for the newbie and doesn't have my background to deal with these sorts of things... Lastly, during the final break-in run, the fuel selector knob vibrated free and fell off... At face value, it's no big deal... I applied Loctite and screwed the selector back on, and I'm all set... But that makes me wonder... What other parts are not secured with a thread-locker and should be??? Because of poor Tech Support follow through and shoddy assembly practices, I wish I could downgrade my rating from four stars to three... Too bad... I really think this is a good generator if *management* just stepped up to meet the machine's potential. (Also Westinghouse, pls offer this machine WITHOUT a CO sensor!) ... show more

  • It's light, it's quiet, it's perfect.
Style: 2800 Watts - Gas Only
After doing rounds and rounds of research on this brand and model, I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Prepping the unit for it's first use was a very simple and easy process. It started on the first crank and it has not failed to impress me since. I've used it thus far at field events where there is no electricity nearby, and this generator has performed reliably. My favourite feature is the LED control panel which shows you all the vital stats of the unit, especially the fuel level and remaining run time. All in all, this unit is money well spent and Westinghouse has been well rated officially in my book. ... show more

  • Pretty Pretty Good
Style: 2550 Watts - Dual Fuel - RV Ready
I bought this to power my camper as I do a lot of disspersed camping. I have used both the Gas and Propane and I must say both last a long time. The generator is light and quiet. I am happy with this investment

  • Perfect for boat
Style: 2550 Watts - Gas Only - RV Ready
Clear instructions made this easy to set up and use. It’s perfect for my boat, and powers my Xantrex Prosine 2.0 Inverter/Charger just fine. I had to adjust a few settings on the prosine to limit the 100A charger to an amperage the generator could produce, but that only took a few key presses on the panel. I also needed a neutral bonding plug installed on the generator to prevent “reverse polarity” readings on the boat due to the generator’s inherent floating neutral. The generator produces good clean, even power and settles down to a nice quiet purr in eco mode. Quiet and powerful…just what I needed when we’re away from the dock and need power. ... show more
