The Westinghouse iGen2200c Portable Inverter Generator produces 2,200 peak watts and 1,800 running watts, making it perfect as an emergency backup for home use or for recreational use. The iGen2200c can simultaneously power most refrigerators and large appliances as well as any home necessities you may need while traveling. Powered by a 4-Stroke OHV Westinghouse engine, the iGen2200c is engineered to automatically adjust its engine speed to produce only the amount of power needed for enhanced fuel efficiency. It’s lightweight and convenient, weighing 47.4 lbs. with a built-in carrying handle for easy portability. The iGen2200c has an ultra-low tone for community-friendly use, operating as low as 52 dBA which is quieter than the average conversation. Unlike traditional generators, the iGen2200c safely powers sensitive electronics like plasma/LCD televisions, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices by producing clean, stable power at less than 3% THD.     • GOOD POWER FOR THE PRICE

I bought this generator with the idea of temporary back up unit, because my primary unit was with mechanical problems (No current output). The nature of my job require everyday generator- use because we do mobile car's window tinting; we need power enough to feed a 2000 watts heatgun. My Yamaha generator inverter i2800 was running smooth for 18 years and now is in Yamaha Service to fix the problem.-- Unfortunately the cost of the repair reach eleven hundred bucks which no make sense pay it because a new one unit cost 1,400 bucks aprox. I start using this blue guy and feel happy with the purchase.- Among the advantages I can mention the following: Very compact size.- (Half volume than mi Yamaha) The noise is very quiet (Of coarse push less power than Yamaha) but run smooth because the inverter capability.- The weight is very maneuverable (40-45 pounds); The foot are rubber which is a good idea because absorbs the vibration when you run it in hard surfaces like the bed of my work truck. Oil and spark location very easy to reach and come with tools to do the task easier. MY JUST COMPLAINT (and this is the reason of 4stars) Is the gasoline tank capacity. Why they didn't a little bigger the tank. Is less than a gallon. we have to stop more frequently in the gas station. I had to buy a small gasoline container to keep a quart of gas in case of running out of gas in the middle of the job. (Yamaha tank was 1.9 gallons) I don't like keep gasoline in the truck to refill generator but is the way that have to go. Price was very cheap in comparison my Yamaha and I know I can't expect the durability of Yamaha or Honda; but the price tag is affordable and I am happy really with the guy blue which is my primary generator now. ... show more

I was torn between this model and a Yamaha that was $50. The Yamaha has wheels that makes it easy to move around, where the Westinghouse requires more strength to move. I would have posted 5 stars with wheels! I also added a hour meter and changed the spark plug based on other users comments. Overall, this is a very good quality generator.     • Have one with over 200 hours, just bought a second. Quiet and Efficient

I bought this generator a year and a half ago and didn’t get to use it a bunch until this summer when there was a big power outage and over 100° temperatures. This little unit powered two window air conditioners (5,000 btu each) and ran both of them at the same time on an average of 6 to 7 hours on 1.5 gal of gasoline and we could still watch the tv and play games. Not only was it very efficient, It was right outside my sliding glass door in the kitchen and me and my son were watching TV and could barely notice it. We were playing video games in a cool room while everyone else in my neighborhood for over a week was either going to a hotel or sweating it out.     • ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!

After spending over $400 on this generator I assumed it would at least start once. NOPE!! Won't last more than three seconds and I noticed gasoline leaking everywhere and I hadn't even started it. When I did pull the string the damn thing ran for three seconds than gave me an red light for overload with nothing attached. Now it won't start! Read the review people because it's literally luck of the draw I guess. I've read over 30 plus people having the same issue fresh out of the box on Westing houses own website. NOT TO MENTION THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE HAS YOU ON HOLD FOR OVER 30 MINITES EVERY TIME I CALLED Really disappointed that I now have a large pice of junk that they don't want to fix even though I've had it barely two weeks.
