Normally I would add pictures for this, however this unit did not even deserve that (and others have matching pictures) Out of the box when I got the first one, the battery would light and grinder worked. l charged the battery and that was end of that for the night. Fast forward to going to use it, I put shield on, disc on, battery one, hit the button and it spun. Walked over to the job I was going to use it on, nothing, no lights on battery, charger doesn't recognize it. I submitted for a replacement Replacement came, charged it up, grinder worked, went to use it, IT WORKED for the first grind. After the first grind something "burnt up" inside is my guess, hit the trigger and its like tapping a relay and hits motor for a second and shuts off. That is all it does now. I did find that if you keep tapping it getting it spinning faster and faster, after a certain point the grinder starts working again and stays working if you hit trigger again while its at speed. However if you let it fall back below a certain speed it does it again. The construction feels good, so I did not expect QC to be so low, I also have a sneaking suspicion that the new "PowerTough" grinder that literally uses the same picture relabeled is the same product I cannot recommend this item for purchase/gift/free to anyone, I may disassemble the unit to see if I can find the failure (sounds like I am not only one with this failure) and if I find it I will revise my review if it is a simple repair (notes on how to fix) Update 4/23/23 I did disassemble the unit, there is nothing internally wrong with the unit to cause the issue. I believe I may have found the issue however. It appears the issue may be in the battery. I was able to get the unit spinning and kept it on up until it completely shut off (about 5 minutes). After doing this and charging it it seems to work now. Going by the charge time and use time I would be more inclined to say it has 800mah-1200mah battery vs claimed 4am. This would also explain the no start issue possibly being battery cut from high draw. I have not opened the battery to look for cell numbers ... show more

I put this head-to-head with my brushless M18 and it kept up well. I'm building metal carriages that hold up wire racks and I got a good day's work out of this Werktough grinder. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think this uses a Makita compatible cell. The kit comes with extra grinding discs. Don't forgot to wear good eye protection; preferably goggles as this grinder shoots stuff all over the place. ... show more

These wireless buffer polisher is actually really cool it is nicely made and heavy duty, it comes with several items with it and it’s already charged and has a battery to keep it charged at all times which is a plus and it comes with a bag so you can put it in there and keep all the accessories together. my husband will be trying it in the next few days and I’ll post all about it but so far he loves it ... show more

This is a fairly light weight, but not cheap feeling angle grinder. It has good balance, ambidextrous grip/handle and an easily adjustable blade guard. While not quite as strong, or as fast as my corded grinders, it does a good job! This is actually my 2nd one. The 1st one I received failed almost immediately. I contacted the company via Amazon's contact form and, after describing my situation, they sent me replacement....no hassle/drama.....just shipped it. The replacement grinder works fine! I was looking forward to this WERKTOUGH 20V Cordless Angle Grinder to arrive, and when it did arrive it appeared to be a decent tool. This WERKTOUGH 20V Cordless Angle Grinder Kit comes with the grinder tool, a locking wrench, 5 disks of 2 sized widths, a 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery, & a Fast Charger. The battery was around 3/4 charged when it arrived. It took less than a 1/2 hour to fully charge on the fast charger. So everything was great, until I started using the Cordless Angle Grinder. Due to its location on the handle, it is a little awkward to press the safety lock without using both hands which makes the tool a little frustrating to repetitively use. At first the WERKTOUGH 20V Cordless Angle Grinder worked well once I was able to finagle the safety switch mechanism to engage the power button. It worked fine for a minute or two then it would stop working for indiscriminate time periods where you could hear the power engaging but the WERKTOUGH 20V Cordless Angle Grinder wouldn't run at all. It may be a quality control issue but what good is a battery powered tool that only works half the time? I had high hopes for this WERKTOUGH 20V Cordless Angle Grinder Kit but with problems cropping up on its first use, I can't reasonably recommend this tool that I received. ... show more

    • Worked for all of two seconds
This machine came well packed and in what appeared to be good condition. The machine looks like it is well built and solid, and it feels "substantial" in the hand, yet not too heavy. I charged the battery over night and wanted to start work the next morning. By then, the red light on the charger had gone off and the green light had come on, likely indicating that the battery was fully charged. I installed the battery in the grinder and squeezed the trigger and the disc started spinning nicely. Then I immediately stopped to get a slightly better working position. I found that position and squeezed the trigger again. And - NOTHING. I plugged the battery back into the charger again and the green light came on like it had before. I tried again with the battery back in the machine. Still NOTHING. So, that deserves a solid one star rating. It could be that the battery is bad, as when I press the little test button on the battery pack, the LEDs don't come on like I think they should. But to me it is all the same: the product is not working - after about 2 seconds of running. ... show more
