  • Great For LIGHT DUTY Use
These are lightweight and very, very simple to use. Basically they're aluminum stands with a combination nut, threaded rod, t-handle attachment for adjusting it up or down. They are extremely lightweight and basic. I WOULD NOT rely on these to support anything that I'm going to be underneath that is heavy enough to injure or kill me if it falls on me. If you have the need to support something that's not very heavy for fabrication or alignment purposes than these are a pretty good option. They're very easy to handle and simple to use. A few of them used in combination would work great for holding something in place to weld or drill holes, etc. These are simply not heavy duty enough or stable enough to rely on for supporting a tractor, vehicle, or other piece of equipment that weighs several tons. I'd be worried the aluminum will break or bend and if someone would be underneath then likely things could get ugly. They'd probably be adequate for a lawn mower or ATV or something like that, but you'd still want to be careful as these don't have a very wide base and the screw mechanism isn't permanently attached (the nut on the threaded rod merely sits in a recess on tip of the stand). These are a decent price and are great if you're using them carefully. If you're expecting these to be as good as heavy duty steel stands then I think you're expecting too much out of these. ... show more

  • Light But Strong
I have a number of trailers that I use all the time and have found that they are a little whibbly when disconnected from my truck. I use the trailers mostly to transport race cars to and from tracks and so we are in and out of them all weekend, getting tools and equipment, changing into race gear and sometimes, depending on the weather moving the car in and out of the trailer too. These stabilizing jacks work great at doing just that. You can't and shouldn't use these to jack up a vehicle, but with the rated ability of 6,000lbs per unit they will work great to stabilize a trailer or RV or even a car/truck for safety reasons, once they've been jacked up. Since I often park on grass I cut squares out of some marine plywood I had left over and use them as a base to set these on. The squares spread out the weight and provide a solid base for the jacks to work from. I will use these on all surfaces when I use these. Setting them up is pretty easy. I raise the front of the trailer with the tongue jack, place these in position in the front of the trailer and slowly lower the trailer until it is resting on the stability jacks. I then position the other two in the rear of the trailer, raising the threaded rod until it is snug to the bottom of the trailer. It's very obvious how solidly the trailer sits once you've got these in place...and by comparison how insecure it was before. I like the light weight of these units, they are less than 2lbs each with cast aluminum bases and a steel alloy screw head. If you remove the screw heads, you can stack all the jacks on top of each other like plastic cups. I have a soft zippered sack i then put the screw heads into and they fit inside the stacked bases. Takes up very little space, and are easy to assemble and put to work. Very please with how these are made and how well they work. Amazing that each one of these light, cast jacks is rated to 6,000lb. Nice addition to our gear. ... show more

  • they work well and are easy to install
Added these to my 5th wheel and it has helped a lot with the stability feeling when walking around. I did have to add a block under each one as they are not tall enough on their own.

  • Well made
These are lightweight and extremely well-made stands. The casting of the bases is well-defined, accurate, and there are no visible structural defects whatsoever. The bolts are cut accurately and they move and rotate smoothly in the vertical direction. These stands are an exceptional bargain!

  • Does the job, but works more as a supplement!
I ordered these for my 20-foot camper. These jacks are incredibly lightweight, making them easy to handle and store, yet they provide solid support for my travel trailer. They were straightforward to set up and significantly reduced the wobble and movement inside the camper, even with a 40-pound dog running around inside the camper. I would not use this as a standalone support for heavy loads, it's best suited for use in combination with your camper's existing supports. Overall, a great purchase for added stability on the road! ... show more

  • Look nice, but not as rigid as I expected
I know these will do the job they are designed to do. However, the extension bolts are hollow, that makes them susceptible to failure if the load shifts. The bolts also just sit in place on the stand. They are not attached to the stand in anyway. Gravity holds them in place. The stand itself seems to be a decent casting, but the lack of rigidity could allow for problems. ... show more

  • RV Stabilizers Jacks
This 4 pack is just what I needed. They come stacked for shipping but they also lend themselves to the compact spaces in an RV. very easy to setup and very easy to pack in small places.

  • Great for what they're intended for
As noted in the description, and on the units themselves, these are not jack stands. Don't use these for holding full load weight. These are stabilizers for a trailer. If you happen to have a broken trailer stabilizer, these are a great backup option. They are super easy to 'assemble' and crank up and down easily by hand. I don't see any way to use a tool to speed up the process. ... show more
