This blanket is everything I'd hoped it would be and more. The colors are gorgeous. It is soo soft on both sides. The 48 x 72 size is great for cuddling into on the couch, but also for generously covering my side of our queen size bed at night. The fifteen pounds is heavier than I expected and feels very comforting and soothing. One thing I worried about was whether it would be too hot (I'm in Florida 🥵), but it's not at all. We have many other blankets that are thinner but make me overheat. This must have some magical built-in breathability because it doesn't make this post menopausal woman hot, just calm and cozy. If it has any downsides I suppose they would be that 1) it's pretty heavy so moving it every day from sofa to bed might not be for everyone so maybe keep it in your preferred spot, and 2) washing suggestions are to either spot clean or use commercial washer. I'll gladly take it to the laundromat once every so often. It's totally worth it! ... show more

It was a frigid and dreary winter night. The seasonal depression had settled in comfortably between my regular depression and quarantine depression, like three perfect peas in the pod of my consciousness. There was nothing I desired more than the weight of a fully grown man directly on top of me, crushing my body into itself in rapid deflation; acting as a lid to the memory foam casket I had laid in hopes to finally rest in peace. Panic struck, as solicitations for said weight proved fruitless. Apparently asking men to put their entire body weight on you in an non-sensual way made for a confusing and uncomfortable request. Alas, contrary to popular belief, it seemed as though chivalry was dead after all. I prepared my heart and mind to accept that perhaps the only weight to crush me is the weight that I will never be enough. In the somber acceptance of my fate, I could not focus on the world around me. The holiday season had descended more quickly than what I was equipped for. The heightened pressure for exhibiting holiday cheer was overwhelmingly similar in urgency to the pressure I so desired to rest on my chest, clouding my head in such melancholy distraction that I forgot all about the act of giving gifts in observance of the season. The distraction aided the surprise of receiving a gift from one particular gentleman I had recently made the acquaintance of. It was especially surprising, considering the non-negotiable agreement we had struck earlier about not giving each other gifts, an error I was hesitant to excuse. Despite my protests, I begrudgingly accepted the gift and discovered that it was a large, pink, and fluffy blanket that had the weight of a bag of bricks. At first, it was an alarming realization that challenged my previous experiences with blankets. However, intrigued, I wrapped myself in it and found that it was actually quite comforting. Multi-faceted in its comforting qualities, it’s also just like… super soft. So yeah, 5 stars, 10/10 would definitely recommend this product. Good blanket. CONS: I ordered this in Queen. Stupidly only recently put it on the bed.....And it is NOT a queen. I think I got the twin sent to me by mistake!!! I don't think I can take a star away if it was my stupid mistake for not opening it IMMEDIATELY and finding out it was smaller size. PROS: I love everything else about it! Super soft, warm, comfy. My first weighted blanket! Crazy colors are right up my alley. I just wish I could figure out how to anchor it in the middle of the bed so it would not slip around every night.
