For me, I use the water tank. The unit auto shuts off when the tank is full to allow you to empty. I live in Florida and this unit keeps my indoor humidity at around 45. We bought this for my son's bedroom but I think it is best suited for a small bathroom. The tank fills up in about 4-5 hours on low. Therefore, it doesn't really work through the night. Otherwise, it is quiet and sturdy. We will transition this one to the bathroom and see how a bigger one does. Waykar was very kind to send me a larger unit to test out. During the testing phase in our apartment, the larger unit did work better in a 12x8 room. The tank was larger as well. Waykar also sent a replacement plug when we lost ours. I think the customer service seems to be pretty good in terms of trying to show that their product is well worth it. ... show more

I purchased this to combat the high humidity in our home, especially after the recent heavy rain we've been getting. The device is small and quiet, but does a fantastic job removing moisture. I set it on a countertop and used the included hose to drain into a sink, so I don't have to worry about emptying the tank. It's been working flawlessly and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance! Edit: The device stopped working after a couple months (I suspect an issue with the condenser since it was still moving air but not dehumidifying), but customer support was extremely responsive and quick to resolve things for me. I'm confident that my issue was a one-off, so knowing that the manufacturer stands behind their product and makes a great effort to support and serve its customers means a lot. This little machine does a great job of taking the humidity out of the living room of my FL home. What started out in the high 70% range has now dropped (and stayed) at the low 50% percent range, especially during this hot summer. It's mostly quiet and takes a bit of time to fill. The only thing I would change is getting a bigger tank. BUT there is also the option of using a hose and sending the water to an external runoff so, it's not a big deal. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this to help the moisture in my home. It's 1500 sf house. However it does not reach the whole home. More like maybe 220sf. It seems to run good. Tank filled up really fast, problem is the tank is suppose to shut off once full by itself, it did not and kept pouring water out on my carpet. I had to shut if off and try to get the tank out spilling more water all over my carpet to dump it. Does it fill up fast yes. With in 4 to 8 hrs tank is full.. It does takes the water out of the air. But does not turn off right when full. That is a huge issue. When you turn the machine off to deal with the overflow once you replace the drain compartment and turn it on it all the sudden forgets it was apparently at 45 % humidity and goes way up to 67% and sits there for a while till the tank overflows again. 🙄 I will more and likely send back and get another one. Maybe mine is bunk, I have not seen anyone else complain of the water all over their floors or whatever they have it sitting on. Or the issue I am having. I do know when it was delivered it was in a heavy box (its own box) with little protection to someone tossing it or it falling etc. Machine is pretty heavy. Or I could be a whimp. It's both possible. I don't mind that as it's good to have something thst won't tip over. Lastly the directions are ridiculously written. I mean. It's a brain pain to try to read and comprehendhend them. I start to try to think like a low iq person to try to make sense of it However, It's not possible. There are words where they should not be, words that make no sense. Someone should really proof read these things before sending them out. Otherwise I have no idea really how to work the thing except plug it in and wish for the best. Which could be why it does not auto stop the dang machine like it claims too.. idk. I will give a few more days to see if it corrects then send for a new one. Update: sending it back for another. It's just causing me more headach and mess than worth. Let's pray the next works right as I would love this to work. ... show more
