### Update 2 ### Received my replacement unit within 5 days of my requesting same. Waykar Customer service kept me informed of the process every step of the way and shipment arrived right on schedule. Unit I received was brand new with a manufacturing date of March 2022. Even this was above and beyond what I expected. I thought I would have received a refurbished unit and not a brand new one. I was able to simply disconnect the cables and duct work from my old unit and put the new one in its place; and once power was turned on it took only a couple hours to be down to my desired RH setting. Unit has been working flawlessly to keep my crawl space dry once again. Thank you Waykar customer service for all your help. ***Update: After working perfectly at keeping my crawlspace dry for 20 months the unit has had issues with frost buildup at the air intake. Upon contacting Waykar customer service and explaining the problem I was experiencing, they responded overnight and requested I perform a sequence of events and take pictures to help them determine what the problem may be. Upon completing this task and provided them the information they, once again, responded overnight and offered me several options to repair/replace my defective unit. I was very happy with how quickly and congenially their customer service helped me with addressing this issue and look forward to a quick turnaround on my replacement. I would still recommend this Waykar product to anyone who is looking to combat moisture in there crawlspace. ************ The thing that sold me on this unit was the large capacity and excellent price. The specs for this unit was much higher that other manufacturers costing hundreds more. The unit arrive quickly (Amazon Prime) and in good condition. This unit was replacing another dehumidifier from another manufacturer from 5 years ago in our crawl space. Some of the big differences I liked about this new unit was the remote control panel, remote humidity sensor, and the ability to use flexible duct work to redirect the exhaust side of the dehumidifier. THe installation was relatively simple with the only effort required to remove the old unit and lift the new unit up on the mounting bracket to hang it from the floor joists under the house. With the 10M remote cable I was able to run it out of the crawlspace and onto a inside wall of the Garage for easy monitoring. The old unit was installed a good 20 ft under the house from the crawlspace entrance and had no way of knowing if it was working or not. I really liked hanging the remote humidity sensor away from the unit more close to the middle of the crawlspace. THe only additional item purchased was a 20ft 6 inch flexible duct that I connected to the exhaust on the unit and had the discharge go further back into the crawlspace, which in my opinion made for much better airflow to remove more moisture in the crawlspace. I set the humidity level at 45% and check the control panel on a regular basis, since it is easily accessible from my garage, and I have seen the level rise to as much as 48% and within a short period of time lower down to 43%. On average it fluctuates around 45% as I would have expected. So, all in all the unit performs as advertised and I would recommend to anyone needing a crawlspace dehumidifier. ... show more

Lots of humidity here in Florida.all. This dehumidifier helps out dramatically. It removes humidity out of the air and keep our floors dry. The controller is super easy to use and the option that it can be mounted is great. My unit was missing the corded sensor and had no issue with their customer service department on getting one. I definitely recommend it if you live in an area where humidity is a huge issue in the area. ... show more

    • Compact, Powerful and Top Tier Customer Service
The dehumidifier is a rather compact but still very powerful. I have an approx 700 SqFt unfinished basement, with an unsealed floor. This means lots of humidity which was causing me summertime mold problems - not good. Prior to operation, during spring of last year, my humidity level hovered between 50 and 80%. After putting the unit into service and running some ducting to help circulate the dried air, the unit was able to maintain a comfortable 35%. After running all summer and fall I shut off the unit for winter, as I have exposed pipes for steam heat, which keep the humidity low. As I was putting the dehumidifier back into operation this spring (2022) I had an issue with my unit. My dehumidifier was no longer functional showing a low voltage error. After contacting customer service Bonnie was most helpful. She guided me in some troubleshooting steps in an attempt to resolve the issue. We were unsuccessful - however she was able to ship me a new unit. Overall I am a happy customer. While my first unit encountered an issue, the customer care team was quick to resolve. The performance to value here is great, given other options cost over 1000 dollars more to dehumidify a space similar in size to mine. ... show more

    • Good dehumidifier
Unit up in attic and working along side my HVAC. Able to reduce humidity in home from 60% to 50%. Very quiet and draws out lot of moisture. I wish the display/humidistat were one piece/one wire. Also, don’t like how the screen flashes all the time when desired humidity level is reached. Hoping to reduce humidity in my Florida home so I don’t have to run A/C as often. ... show more

    • Leaking water from inside the unit.
Worked well on day 1. On day 3 the unit started leaking water inside the unit. Poor value for the money spent. Returned to Amazon.

    • UPDATE Waykar made good on my customer experience
***update, Waykar contacted me shortly after I returned the item, and they asked me about the faulty equipment. The representative did apologize for my poor experience and offered a $100 compensation for my trouble. It took two weeks till the payment was received however I am impressed they made good on the situation.*** I received this unit within the specified delivery window. I gave the unit a low score though because the humidity controller was reading 20-25% lower then it was actually in the room. I know I have accurate readings from my other Goove sensors, and they were just calibrated. The controller said it was around 32% when in reality it was closer to 45% in the room. I attempted to contact waykar by phone, initially they said to unplug the unit for 24hrs, which I did. There was no change. I also sent an email to them via the email address specified on their website. As well as attempted to contact them by chat on their website. There was no response. I called them again today multiple times and no one answered. Total waste of time and money. I would say the unit feels solid and every bit of 70 lbs. I feel bad because other then poor customer service and faulty equipment the unit looks great. I still wish Waykar would contact me so I could tell them about my terrible experience.
